The first 39 Chapters are grim and gruesome.How are you to respond in a difficult time?

How are we to speak the Word when people are in captivity

I Should never be complacent in my captivity, but I must mature to allow God to Can you be comfort me in my captivity.

It’s the voice of someone shouting, “Clear the way through the wilderness for the Lord!

Make a straight highway through the wasteland for our God!

Background on the Prophet Isiah He is what we call the 5th gospel Because He so accurately described the birth , life, death and Resurrection and second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ It was the prophets responsibility to Preach and Prophesy to a backsliden nation The book of Isaiah is really broken up into two sections...The first section is prophesying to the people to repent , to stop their wayward way of living judgment was on the way but the people of God ignored Gods warning.

So Destruction did come and Now Isiah’s primary job was now to bring comfort to these same group of people.

He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.

Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the Lord, and my right is disregarded by my God”?

What are the people of God saying ??

In the Hebrew its in a perfect tense Why do you KEEP SAYING Why do you KEEP SPEAKING

Israel’s Complaint = God doesn’t see me, God doesn’t care They feel as if God is hiding from them , they feel like God is disregarding them .

They feel like they have a right to be heard by God
