Since we’re all here, let’s start the service early.
[I’m honored to be invited to spend these 4 days with you.
I don’t come to try to do anything more than share with you what I believe God says in His Word.
If there is changing to be done, that is the job of the Holy Spirit.
I come, not as an expert, but as someone who has been involved in the Christian life and Church life for a long time.
- Became a Christian at 10.
          - Was called to preach during my senior year in high school
          - Started pasturing my first church in 1974, at the age of 18.
          - I’m now 48 years old, so this is my 30th year of pasturing churches.
Theme of the Messages I’ll bring this week is:   “Becoming a Church Without Walls”  -- flows from my conviction that one of the greatest mistakes the Church ever made was around the 300th year of the church, we started building buildings.
The buildings had not only physical walls, but other walls that kept the church from seeing people out in the community.
The church buildings we build can become fortresses which we run to several times a week to escape the corruption of the world.
-         Part of the power of the N.T. Church was they were still very much in the world – but they lived transformed lives, different from the rest of the community.
-         Each service this week, I’m going to tackle one aspect of moving the church out from behind the walls we’ve built and back into the world that Christ has called us to reach!

At the end of it were two more doors, one marked, "For officer" and the other, "For non-officers."
He entered through the latter and found himself going down another long hall.
At the end of it were two more doors, one marked, "For party members" and the other, "For non-party members."
He took the second door, and when he opened it he found himself out on the street.
\\ When the soldier returned home, his mother asked him, "How did you get along at the hospital?"
\\ "Well, Mother," he replied, "to tell the truth, the people there didn’t do anything for me, but you ought to see the tremendous organization they have!"
