Don’t get God’s order confused!!  Ecumenical movement has taken the table of shewbread and altar of incense and placed them in the outer court next to the brasen altar!!
 
! I. Two Furnishings In The Holy of Holies
 
!! A. The ark of the Covenant
 
The most important piece of furniture in all the tabernacle.

It is one of three Bible arks
 
All Three are types of the believer’s security from judgement
 
 
a.
The ark of Noah
 
b.
The ark of Moses
 
Both of these arks were lined with pitch to keep the water out.
The word translated pitch is /Kaphar/ - the OT word for atonement.
c.
The ark of the Tabernacle.
This is the ultimate of types both of the Lord Jesus Christ and of our security as believers in Him.

Signifying Christ as the Bread of Life
 
(John 6:51 KJV)  I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Our supply and sufficiency in this life, all we need from the new birth till we are ushered into God’s presence, we find in Christ.

Jesus Christ is our “Mercy Seat”.
(Rom 3:25 KJV)  Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation (/hilasterion/ - mercy seat) through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

The ark a seat of judgement, but covering it a seat of mercy!!!

The sixth of seven annual Jewish feasts
 
Each of the feasts was a rich representation of the glories of redemption through the Lord Jesus Christ.
