Introduction

When you hear the words innovative, protector, strong, or consistent what do you think about? I imagine some of you probably think about your cellular phone, or the otter box that is protecting your iPhone right now. When I was thinking of these words I thought of Jochebed, the mother of Moses. Her faith in the King allowed her to have the faith to protect her son as much as she could in effort to ensure the safety of her son. The kingdom woman regardless of her earthly callings is innovative, nurturing and protective. The kingdom woman finds a way to make it happen. Often times no matter how rough life gets, God allows us to prosper all along we have the resources we need in effort to conquer any obstacle in our way.
The mother of Moses was unfortunate to have a son in the midst of genocide implemented by the current Pharaoh of Egypt. Nonetheless that did not stop her from protecting her family. states “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and loving instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness.” We live in an age in which our children need protection all the time, for instance children go to school daily, meanwhile many children are susceptible to danger everyday at school, walking home, in various cars and even though we are not around all the time we have to trust that our protection will keep them from danger.
The obstacle of her sons life being in danger did not cause her to remain idle. She protected him as long as she could, imagine the pain of your child’s life hanging in the balance of nurture, protection and forced adoption.

The Kingdom Woman is Innovative

Her faith protected her son. She hid Moses and when she could no longer hide him at home she placed in a protective setting.
We have to be innovative when it comes to protecting what God has given us.
Placed him in a protective setting, and covered what she placed him in so that he could survive in the setting she placed him in.
She hid him
When she could no longer hide him she placed him in a wicker basket and covered the basket so nothing that would harm the child could get in.
She placed him in a place that he could survive.
She took a basket, also translated as a “chest”, she protected her son because she knew that God had blessed her with Moses for a reason.
When you understand your blessings you know that they must be protected at all cost.
Think of the innovation, Jochebed did not disobey the Pharaoh, she just made sure she preserved life in the midst of following Pharaoh’s orders.
Pharaoh commanded every son born is to be cast in the Nile, Moses’ mother put him in the river, but she protected him in the midst of.
Pharaoh told them to cast them in the river, but did not say how to put in the river. See we give Satan too much credit sometimes. Even though Satan wants us to destroy each other, but sometimes we have to do our part of protection and allow God to handle the rest.

Protecting your Family

The bible tells us that she covered the basket with tar and pitch. This made it watertight, and she placed him by the reeds of the bank, this was the shallow part of the river.
The shallow area was away from the danger of animals in the river that would harm the child. When you have a protector in you family, they place you in areas in which you will be protected.
It should be expected that if God blesses us with a gift like a child we should put them in places in which they could be protected.
We must be careful, because sometimes blessings come packaged as liabilities, or even responsibilities before they become assets. Typically big gifts that God gives us may seem like a handful before they appear to be a blessing to us.
I imagine hiding her son was a daunting task, I imagine placing him in a basket in the Nile unaware of the outcome. This is where faith comes in, understand that your child is the child of the King and we have to treat them accordingly.

The Child of a King

tells us that after Moses’ was placed in the Nile Pharoah’s daughter came down to bathe in the Nile. In verse six it says the child was crying and she had pity on him, sometimes we have to realize that we do not control how God will open up the heart of those who have input on our outcome.
Pharaoh’s daughter adopted the child and make him the child of an earthly King but the only way he was able to become a child of an earthly King was because he was the child of a Heavenly King.
We have to realize that God is going to protect his children, we cannot protect them anymore.
See when you give it to God, he’ll bless you for doing what you should already be doing for free.
When there is purpose in your calling, abide in God and he’ll handle the rest.
When we are content with what we have and do all we can, God will handle the rest. We do not have to be afraid of what man is going to do because God is our helper! God will help us when we can no longer help ourselves. God’s help is greater than any help that man can offer.
Pharaoh’s daughter thought she was doing a good deed, but God was the reason Moses was protected.
We have to realize that we are raising the children of kings, and we have to know that God will protect them as such.
