COMMUNION: MATT
We gather here this morning because of Jesus.
Before he died Jesus ate the Passover meal with his disciples, and during the meal he...
took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you.
Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood.
Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
So today we take bread and wine as a declaration of our faith.
They are symbols of our belief in Jesus.
Through his death and resurrection he has forgiven our sin and made us family.
We are blood brothers and sisters in Jesus, we are reminded that he is here with us by his Spirit this morning, and we look forward to feasting with him in the future kingdom.

*SO if you’re not a believer in Jesus today – we don’t want you to do something you don’t believe in = so just pass it to the next person --- but know you are in the right place to get to know JESUS – just hope you experience a little bit of his love as you spend some time with people who know him and love him.

Scripture Reading: WILLIE M
Scripture Reading: WILLIE M
Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you.
32 “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
33 Sell your possessions, and give to the needy.
Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.
34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
SHORT SUMMARY: MATT
True success is really all about being rich toward God.
To really know Jesus and to be invested in his Kingdom - to treasure Jesus and to seek after his kingdom.
Successful living is not about us achieving a comfortable life or any kind of status for ourselves — it is about knowing and loving Jesus more intimately as we pour ourselves into the things he calls us to...
using what he’s given us our wealth talents and abilities to do good in this world
to contribute to the health and strength of his family by building up the life and ministry of our local church family
having a one-minded commitment to his purpose for his people - to advance the gospel in our world
to carefully build our lives on his teaching for living life in a way that supports the gospel message and produces things of eternal value
Stories we’ve heard today probably aren’t going to make the evening news - but we’ve experienced God working in us and through us!
We see things of eternal value happening - And we’re not who we used to be - we are changing and growing -
be ready - that’s our job - we just need to be ready for action - ready to receive Christ when he comes - because what’s starting now Christ is coming to complete!
Don’t sit back - don’t stop pressing forward - don’t adopt a casual attitude toward Christ and his kingdom - keep the lamps burning - anticipate he could show up any minuet -
