Lets look at the answer to the question in John 16.

I Don’t believe the disciples were thinking they would be better off without Christ.
Notice verse 6… sorrow has filled your heart.
Jesus, in flesh, is only in one place at a time.
If Jesus didn’t leave, we wouldn’t receive the gift of the spirit.

He was not cursed, unrighteous, He was God!

In Chapter 17, Jesus prays to God that the disciples, and all believers to follow, would be sanctified in the truth: your word is truth.
