Powerful Faith

Someone has said, “Faith is believing God and asking no questions.” Real faith believes before it sees.

. It is necessary to have faith in order to please God. (NLT) 1 Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.

1 Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.

The same faith that brings salvation will also produce miracles. This same faith will keep you. tells us:

6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

1. THE PROBLEM—vv. 5–6

6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

5 When Jesus returned to Capernaum, a Roman officer came and pleaded with him, 6“Lord, my young servant lies in bed, paralyzed and in terrible pain.”

(NLT)

2. THE PROMISE

2. THE PROMISE

2. THE PROMISE—vv.

Matthew 8:7–9 NLT
Jesus said, “I will come and heal him.” But the officer said, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed. I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say, ‘Go,’ and they go, or ‘Come,’ and they come. And if I say to my slaves, ‘Do this,’ they do it.”
Matthew 8:7–9 NLT

10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said, “I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!

3. THE POWER—vv. 10–12

When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said, “I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!

11 And I tell you this, that many Gentiles will come from all over the world—from east and west—and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the feast in the Kingdom of Heaven. 12 But many Israelites—those for whom the Kingdom was prepared—will be thrown into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

12 But many Israelites—those for whom the Kingdom was prepared—will be thrown into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

4. THE PERFECTION—v. 13

Then Jesus said to the Roman officer, “Go back home. Because you believed, it has happened.” And the young servant was healed that same hour.

13 Then Jesus said to the Roman officer, “Go back home. Because you believed, it has happened.” And the young servant was healed that same hour.

Put your faith into action. Do not be afraid to step out in faith. All the great men of God were men of faith. Read , and see how these great men did the impossible because of faith.

A complete, wonderful story, a miracle that Jesus performed. Simply put. There was a need, a problem, a tragedy taking place. A death was about to happen. Someone, (Anyone really, this could be you) reached out to Jesus.

Scripture tells us to have faith, believe, receive and be thankful. The promise.

Jesus tells us to believe. Have faith, maybe only the size of a mustard seed. What size is your faith? The Power.

Our faith, complete faith, non-doubting faith in our Father, His grace, His love, His Son. The Perfection.

Are you or someone you know in need of a miracle? Here’s how you get it? Or at least a way, a start. Do you know Jesus?

AMEN
