DISSIPATION Deceptive desires leading to a lifestyle without discipline resulting in the dizzy hangovers of drunkenness. The Greek word apate means “deception” caused by riches (Matt. 13:22) and sin (Heb. 3:13). This is founded in the deceptive lusts of the unredeemed human heart (Eph. 4:22). People following such a way of life will suffer “the penalty for doing wrong” as they continue “reveling in their dissipation” (2 Pet. 2:13 NRSV). Asotia means to be hopelessly sick and refers to a lifestyle by which one destroys oneself. It is the prodigal son’s “wild living” (Luke 15:13 NIV). It is the life of “dissipation” resulting from drinking wine (Eph. 5:18 NASB; cp. Titus 1:6; 1 Pet. 4:3–4). The Bible speaks against a disorderly life, whereas the Greeks used the term to mean a wasteful or luxurious life. The Bible teaches believers to avoid both lifestyles.
We can come to a 1000 of the meetings and yes we will get a better and be better men in the worlds eyes. But we will never have true restored worldview until you are saved by the grace of God.
1: our world, our families are crying for compelling leadership. as we think of compelling leadership----we cannot help but think of jesus Christ. When you look at the passion, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, it makes you want to follow him. It makes you want to crown his greatness.

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
the good news is that God the father through Jesus Christ’s death on the cross has custom fit our lives to reach the attainable image of jesus.

An unfriendly person pursues selfish ends
and against all sound judgment starts quarrels.
One who isolates himself pursues selfish desires; he rebels against all sound judgment. A man like this is not merely anti social; he is a problem for society since he will defy sound judgment. this shows that we need each other as men of God. so dont think for one second you dont need church. speak on this for a few minutes.
Topic 3: Life From The Inside Out
We assume that real change real change comes from outside in; it does not. Transformation goes the other direction, from the inside out. when men can avoid the mistakes of over individualization and unrealistic expectations, they can begin to experience this kind of true transformation. True transformation-real, long lasting, life change---is an overhaul of the soul first and foremost.
ABIDE IN JESUS, BEAR FRUIT, BEAR MORE FRUIT, BEAR MUCH FRUIT.
This inside out transformation is the kind of life God has in mind for men.
Topic 4: Christian Worldview
I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
ezekiel 36:
notice in this verse God changes our heart. this is a major transformation. this is all capable because of Jesus dying for our sins. without the gospel no real change will ever happen in a man, for only the gospel can cut and shape so deeply. but throught the gospel, we can actually begin to see a man’s values begin to change. Values are the driving force behind our emotions and emotions then motivate our actions. take any part of the equation out and it dosnt work.
Values=shape, Emotions=Motivate, Will=Lifestyle. without God none of this is possible.
Topic 5: Developing a Biblical Worldview:
The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for,
“Who has known the mind of the Lord
so as to instruct him?”
But we have the mind of Christ.

As men are restored, they begin to develop a worldview that aligns to biblical values and principles. their worldview then becomes a grid through which these followers of Jesus Christ view, interact with, and understand God, people and world.
to be a christian means that God has become our point of reference and framework.
A group of Epicurean and Stoic philosophers began to debate with him. Some of them asked, “What is this babbler trying to say?” Others remarked, “He seems to be advocating foreign gods.” They said this because Paul was preaching the good news about Jesus and the resurrection.
‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
to be made new in the attitude of your minds;
acts 17:28
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
though we have the new mind of Christ, we must dig into the word of God. though both preaching and teaching are important nothing really takes the place of digging into the word on our own.

And no one takes this honor on himself, but he receives it when called by God, just as Aaron was.
the end goal of course, is not to just see the world with a biblical worldview; its to change the world. it’s to live as an influence for Jesus and the kingdom of
God within the culture. Restoring our worldview will with mistakes and victories, but the important aspect is progression.
Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.
