GRACE

Last week Paul asked the question if we should continue to sin so that there is more grace and he said, “God Forbid”
No matter what you have done God’s grace is there for you. So if you are the biggest sinner ever then there is enough grace for you but we do not want to continue in our sin.
Look in
Romans 6:11
Romans 6:11–14 MEV
Likewise, you also consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. Do not yield your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but yield yourselves to God, as those who are alive from the dead, and your bodies to God as instruments of righteousness. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under the law, but under grace.
You are not under the law. You are under Grace.
You can walk in victory over sin because sin no longer reigns in the believer.
There is a false teaching out there that if I am a Christian I have to understand that I am still going to be plagued with sin.
That is a lie.
Yes there is going to be temptation but you do not have to let that temptation lead you to sin. Instead let it lead you to the one who never sinned.
Let the Holy Spirit control every member of your body.
If having a lose tongue is a temptation give it to the Holy Spirit. If the Holy Spirit is in control of your tongue then the gossip will stop.
Is your temptation pornography? Give your eyes to the Lord. Make a covenant with God that your eyes are for his glory not the devils.
Is lying a problem? Let God speak truth through you to everyone around you. Stop the lying because sin no longer reigns in the body of the believer!
Don’t let the devil convince you that you can’t win, because the battle is the Lords and the victory is already there.
How many times do you pray thinking “I hope it will happen, I hope God will help”? He already has. He defeated sin on the cross and through his resurrection.
1 Corinthians 10:13 MEV
No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, and He will not permit you to be tempted above what you can endure, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.
There is no temptation that you are dealing with that is not common to other people.
God will make a way of escape.
Romans 6:15–18 MEV
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? God forbid! Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves as slaves to obey, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? But thanks be to God, for you were slaves of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of teaching to which you were entrusted, and having been freed from sin, you became the slaves of righteousness.
Romans 6:15-18
Rom 6:19
Romans 6:19–23 MEV
I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh, for just as you have yielded your members as slaves to impurity and iniquity leading to more iniquity, even so now yield your members as slaves to righteousness unto holiness. For when you were the slaves of sin, you were free from righteousness. What fruit did you have then from the things of which you are now ashamed? The result of those things is death. But now, having been freed from sin and having become slaves of God, you have fruit unto holiness, and the end is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
