POWER OF THE CROSS PT 2
In our last message we saw how God made provision after adam and eve had taken of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
As the garden of evil had two important trees when fruit from the one had been taken expulsion from the garden had to accure.
But before they were sent from the garden God revealed his love and grace to adam and eve.
sacrifice for sin would be the only way to atone for sin.
God showed the example that he expected man to follow.
And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
we find that the first murder was done because cain didnt have his offering acepted
God never called for human sacrifice but the son of God Jesus was going to be offered on the cross of calvary for the sins of all the world.
but how did we get from the garden to the cross.

And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
he was seen to be righteous
the ark was to be the vehicle of salvation for those who believed
then abraham was called out after the time of bable
Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
the promise of a son
And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent. And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.
here was a son of promise.Isaac
circumsision was set up at 8 days
God called abraham to offer his son
And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
