Describe a time when you worked with an especially good leader.
What are the qualities of a good leader?
Who are the leaders at Life Source?
How does Leadership impact teamwork?
Welcome
Thank you Randy, and Marty.
Thank you for allowing us to continue to have the Prayer breakfast.
I enjoy being a part of it.
It's nice to see the members of the team working together to make the Prayer Breakfast special.
Do you guys enjoy it?
wait for a response.
Me too.
That being said there is one bit of housekeeping to take care of.
The prayer breakfast starts at 8:30 to give us time to get some fundamental tasks done.
Like...
The standup meeting.
The point is lets make sure we handle business so we can use the prayer breakfast as a time to recharge and build up our team.
You will find on your table slips of paper to list prayer requests.
Please write out your request and place it in the box.
We will take some time to pray for them later today.
After our prayer of invocation and blessing we will fix our plates and come back in here.
Please take that time to discuss the first set of questions on your handout and when everyone has had a chance to go through the line I'll come back up here and lead us in a time of
Please stand with me for our invocation and blessing.
Ernie Vocke; Lead us in this prayer please sir.

Leadership
Thank you all for coming.
These Prayer Breakfasts are such a great time for our company.
Such fun time of fellowship.
It is so good to see the wisdom of the scriptures impact so many lives.
It is so wonderful to see us fellowship together and join our hearts in prayer.
Speaking of prayer; before I dive off into the scripture this morning;
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for a giving us a place to work that gives us time to honor you.
Thank you for all the individuals who make up our team; Nurses, Medical records, Chaplains, CNAs, Office managers, Administrator, DON, and Marketers.
Father right now I ask you to bless these co-laborers called Life Source Hospice.
And as we study these scriptures may your word speak life into our organization.
Father bless this time we have together in Jesus' holy name AMEN

Who are leaders at life source?
Listen to responses
Is there anyone else?
I think you are all leaders.
You serve the patients on your service and their families daily from unique disciplines.
You are all leaders in your field.
You are all Leaders.
What ever your your calling is do it.
You all are leaders.
One principle I’ve learned is that God will not do for me what I can do for myself, but he will not let me do for myself what only he can do.
God has given me intelligence and created my opportunities—I have a responsibility to use my gifts fully.
If I’m not willing to do that, God has no obligation to add his blessing to what I do
There are different types of leadership.
positional leadership, and personal leadership.
Positional Leadership
This type of leadership is based on a title or a job description.
People follow because they are expected to.
Personal Leadership
This type of leadership is based on relationships.
People follow because they want to.
Here are three values that increase Personal Leadership
RESPECT When it comes to Leadership , everything begins with respect, with the desire to place value on other people.
The thing about respect is that you should show it to others, even before they have done anything to warrant it, simply because they are human beings.
But at the same time, you should always expect to have to earn it from others.
What steps can you take to respect others more?
TRUST When you respect people time with them, then you are in a position to develop trust.
Trust is essential to all good relationships.
Scottish poet George MacDonald observed, “To be trusted is a greater compliment than to be loved.”
Without trust, you cannot sustain any kind of Leadership.
Can you think of a way you can develop trust?
RECIPROCITY One-sided personal leadership won't last.
If one person is always the giver and the other is always the receiver, then the relationship will eventually disintegrate.
The same is true of all relationships, including those on a team.
For people to improve relationally, there has to be give-and-take so that everyone benefits as well as gives.
Remember to ask your team-mates, colleagues, and friends questions about their hopes, desires, and goals.
Give people your full attention.
Show others you care about them.
How can you focus on other's needs hopes, desires, and goals?
How can you show others that you care about them?
What is the one thing you can start doing today?
How would our team be different if we each focus on personal leadership?
These are great conversations!
We should continue to have them.
However, we need to be respectful of our time.
Randy has graciously given us until 9:30.
So, lets let Dianne Miller lead us in a time of intercessory prayer for our requests, our company, and leaders.
This will also serve as our benediction.
Thank you for coming.
Lets be sure that we are finished on time.
Dianne, please lead us in this time.
