- Ephesus -
By the time of Paul, Ephesus had become enormously wealthy due to its status and position as a major port city of Asia Minor.
It boasted a number of major public buildings, including gymnasiums, theaters and a triumphal arch constructed in 3 b.c.
In addition, the Ephesian temple of Artemis (a false female goddess of fertility) was lauded as one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and was already then a significant source of income.
Ephesus is thought to have been the 4th largest city in that time with a population of over 250,00 people.

55 years ago a lot of the word of God was "in season" in the United States of America...
But we have a God who is not giving us an out because the message seems out of season today...
He is demanding us...
Even when it seems out of style..
Preach the Word...
When it seems there is no opportunity and audience to listen...
We still gotta preach it the right way..
Just because the world says its out of season for your biblical standards doesn't mean that God sees it that way..
Be one found heralding the good news in season and out of season..
In other words..
Let YOUR light so shine before men, that they may see YOUR good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Be ready.. Keep the light always on.. Don't have a religious body with a sinful heart..
