1. Pre-Introduction

Joke

I heard about this minister that died. He was standing in line at the Gates of Paradise and in front of him was a man dressed in a loud shirt, wearing blue jeans, sunglasses and a star of david necklace. Peter asked "What's your name sir?" He said, "My name is Joe Cohen, taxi cab driver, New York City." Peter checked his list and handed him a Gold Staff and a silk robe and said, "welcome to heaven." The minister stepped up and said, "I'm reverend Joseph Snow, Pastor of Saint Mary's Cathedral." Peter checked his list and handed him a cotton robe and a wooden staff. He said, "hey wait a minute. That's not fair. The taxi cab driver got a Gold Staff and a silk robe. How could that be?" Peter said, "Sir, up here we work by results. When you preached, people slept, but when he drove, people prayed."

1.2. Ha-Foke-Bah

Introduction

2.1. Topic: You are freshly anointed to win.

2.2. Define: The anointing empowers you for your God given destiny.

The anointing is the power of God placed on you by the Spirit of God to achieve the destiny of God for your life.
An Anointing is a divine empowerment. It will help you do what you could not do.
The anointing will open doors before you, give you influence you never had before, make you prosper like you never imagine, grant you access to people and places you never thought possible. The anointing of God takes you far beyond what your natural talents can ever do.
The anointing also destroys yokes. A yoke is anything hold you back from your God given destiny. Your yoke might be an addiction to alcohol, food or sex. Your yoke might be a circumstance you are in right now like scarcity, lack of resources. Your yoke might be your own fears, feelings of self-doubt or inadequacy.
Whatever might be holding you back, dragging you down, acting like bully to your God given destiny the anointing blasts it to pieces and give your freedom.

2.3. Problem: You loose the empowering of the anointing when you get out of your lane.

The problem is that you will loose the empowering of the anointing when you start second guessing your God given destiny and get out of your lane.
You know what I mean by getting out of your lane? Like:
Michael Jordan was in his lane when he was playing basketball. When he started to try play baseball professionally: out of his lane.
Mr. T: great on the A-Team TV series but out of his lane singing a mother's day song.
Or when you are at work and you jump into something that shouldn’t concern you, or your mind is floating away from your daily goals/task at hand, try reminding yourself you need to Stay in Your Own Lane.
Or when your mind starts to drift back to self-defeating thoughts like "God will never heal me, I will never succeed, my children will never overcome that addiction, my life will never get any better." You got to get your mind back into its lane and declare God's promises about you and your family.
When you get out of your lane. However, you get out of it: bad career move, being a busy body, a gossip or letting your mind drift you will second guess your God given destiny, you will second guess yourself and step out of the empowering of God's anointing.

2.3.1. Example: Second guessed my anointing and tried to start a church.

2.3.2. Example: Lost the anointing to take the land when we second guessed God's power.

2.4. Solution: When we stay in your lane will be stay freshly anointed to achieve your God given destiny.

2.4.1. Declare these Three things to stay in an anointed lane:

2.4.1.1. I am Anointed

“The Holy One anointed you, and you all know it.” (, The Message)
1 John 2:20 TLV
But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know.

2.4.1.2. I am Instructed

“As for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you about all things—and it is true and not a lie—and just as it has taught you, abide in Him.” (, TLV)
1 John 2:27 TLV
As for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you about all things—and it is true and not a lie—and just as it has taught you, abide in Him.

2.4.1.3. I am Destined

“But they’re no match for what is embedded deeply within you—Messiah's anointing, no less! You don’t need any of their so-called teaching. Messiah's anointing teaches you the truth on everything you need to know about yourself and him, uncontaminated by a single lie. Live deeply in what you were taught.” (, The Message)
There is fair amount of disagreement as to what the preposition and pronoun are referring to: μένετε ἐν αὐτῷ in .
Some think it refers to Messiah, some to the Holy Spirit, some to the anointing itself.
The problem is that in Western thining we like to dice things up whereas if you were to ask John, the Jewish apostle, "Does this refer to the anointing, to the Holy Spirit or to the Messiah?" He would say, "Yes!"
When you dwell on the teaching the anointing has give you by the Holy Spirit it will also point you back to the anointed one: Messiah Yeshua.
When Kepha received the anointed teaching by the Spirit about going to the Gentiles it pointed him back to Messiah and further revealed the Messiah to Kepha.

2.4.2. In the lane of your anointing you will experience:

2.4.2.1. Supernatural Access

2.4.2.2. Supernatural Skills

““See what I’ve done; I’ve personally chosen Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur of the tribe of Judah. I’ve filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him skill and know-how and expertise in every kind of craft” (, The Message)
““Not only that, but I’ve given him Oholiab, son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan, to work with him. And to all who have an aptitude for crafts I’ve given the skills to make all the things I’ve commanded you:” (, The Message)
The Spirit’s working shows not only in ordinary skilled labor, but also in the higher spheres of human knowledge and mental activity; for military genius, legal acumen, statemanship, and power to inspire the masses with enthusiasm are equally ascribed to it. This is generally expressed in the words, “And the Spirit of the Lord came upon” such a hero, judge, statesman, or tribune of the people, especially in the days of the Judges, when it is said of Joshua, Othniel, Barak, Gideon, Samson, Samuel, and others that the Spirit of the Lord came upon them. Also of Zerubbabel rebuilding the temple, it is said: “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord.” Even of the heathen king, Cyrus, we read that Jehovah had called him to His work and anointed him with the Spirit of the Lord—.
Abraham Kuyper, The Work of the Holy Spirit (New York; London: Funk & Wagnalls, 1900), 38–39.

2.4.2.3. Supernatural Insight

Moses got insight about the Tabernacle of God.
The man in this synagogue that got super-natural insight about something I have been praying about for the future of Beth Messiah.
I have been praying privately about the obstacles standing in front of Beth Messiah. Obstacles that are stopping us from fully experiencing God's anointing to see the full restoration and salvation of Israel. Privately, I have been seeking the Lord on some very specific things. And, I have been praying very specifically about the financial resources for the next building and what it will do, the purpose it will serve.
Then an older gentlemen in our congregation, one of our boomers. God a word from the Lord to give to me. And he did it the way we ask. We ask people to give any prophetic word to Rabbi Lanning and it will be evaluated to see if it should even be passed along to me. Believe it or not, I have received plenty of wrong words before and misguided words before and words given at the wrong time. All of that happens and we do hold people accountable for this. Prophecy does not exist without accountability.
Rabbi Lanning tested the spirits on this words, evaluated it, scrutinized it like he does. And he passed it along to me sensing God's anointing on it. He was right.
It was like this guy had read my private e-mail account.
God gave this man supernatural insight about what will happen in the future and how God is going to provide for the next building on our campus.

2.4.2.4. Supernatural Power

says.
Leviticus 26:8 TLV
Five of you will chase 100 and 100 of you will chase 10,000, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you.
But the further we move away from God's destiny for our lives the further we move from the empowering of God's anointing.
says.
Deuteronomy 32:30 TLV
How can one chase a thousand and two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them and Adonai had handed them over?

2.4.3. You will stay freshly empowered when you stay in the lane of your God given destiny.

You will stay freshly empowered when you stay in the lane of your God given destiny.
You will see the favor of God come upon you without you even having to try. You will walk into a store and people will say things to you like, "There is just a light around you, something different about you." That is God's anointing.
You will see the power of God overshadow you and energize you. What takes other people 100 hours to do you will accomplish in 10 hours. What cause other people to crumble under the pressure will cause you to rise to the surface.
When you stay in the lane of your God given destiny you will keep receiving a fresh empowering from God's anointing.

Transition to Bible: God has a lot to say about the fresh empowering of the anointing.

Bible: God's anointing empowers you for your God given destiny.

4.1. A mother delivers Israel.

Deborah is one of the greats of Israel's history. She fearlessly faced down Israel's enemies when the men of the nation would not come out of hiding. She led Israel's forces to an amazing victory.
How does this happen? The writer of Scriptures say, “Now Deborah, a woman who was a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at that time.” (, TLV)
But Deborah herself says, "Pause!!! I did not start there, I started as a mother. She says, “Villages were deserted in Israel, deserted, until I, Deborah, arose, a mother in Israel arose.” (, TLV)
Deborah started as a mother but she knew her anointing was to be a mother-prophetic-deliver. She never stopped being a mother, she became a mother-prophetess-deliverer. She never got out of her lane, her lane just got more and more anointed.
Being mother at home empowered her to be a leader for Israel at a time when father's were not acting like leaders and leaders were not acting like fathers at home. Deborah stepped into her lane and was freshly empowered by God's anointing to lead Israel.
Beth Moore stepped into her lane despite sexism and bigotry. She refused to get out of the lane that God called her to.
One of my favorite heroes of the last 100 years is Golda Meir. Golda Meir was an Israeli teacher, kibbutznik, stateswoman, politician and the fourth Prime Minister of Israel.
Meir was elected Prime Minister of Israel on March 17, 1969, after serving as Minister of Labour and Foreign Minister.
The world's fourth and Israel's first and only woman to hold such an office, she has been described as the "Iron Lady" of Israeli politics, though her tenure ended before that term was applied to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Former Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion used to call Meir "the best man in the government"; she was often portrayed as the "strong-willed, straight-talking, grey-bunned grandmother of the Jewish people".
She strategically guided Israel through the Yom Kippur War, Munich Massacre, Austrian Immigration.

4.2. A cup-bearer engineers victory.

The Story of Nehemiah the cup-bearor of King Artexerxes.

4.3. An anointed worker will stand before kings.

Here is my point: the anointing empowers you to your God given destiny not your domestic role as mother or father.
You will be a better mother or father when you are walking in the fresh empowering of God's anointing. You will lead through tough times with ease. You will lead with favor. You will become an example that your children will want to emulate.
Instead of feeling like your are limited, you will fill God's unlimited favor. Doors will open before you, favor will surround you and even your enemies will speak well of you.
“Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings. He will not stand before obscure people.” (, TLV)
Proverbs 22:29 TLV
Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings. He will not stand before obscure people.

4.3.1. Regie Joiner: From Volunteer to World-Wide Influencer

4.3.2. A Southern Boy Influences Presidents

4.3.3. David Green of Hobby Lobby

5. Bible: God's anointing teaches you towards your God given destiny.

5.1. The King's won when they did not second guess the anointing.

Tell the story of David and Saul. Show how it was always true that when a King followed the anointing, the King may have had to make diffcult choices but they came with God's favor. Yet, when a King disregarded the teaching of the anointing the anointing would leave.

5.2. The anointing taught Yeshua the full boundaries of His ministry.

Yeshua was being taught by His anointing. Remember it says, “And Yeshua kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” (, TLV).
Luke 2:52 TLV
And Yeshua kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
As much as I take seriously the full deity of Yeshua, I also take seriously the full humanity of Yeshua and the fact that he never relied on his deity to get an advantage over his humanity according to Phillipians 2.
The Messiah was always relying on the Spirit's anointing to teach him. It shows up in the gospel of Matthew.
In , Yeshua extends the benefit of his anointing to a Roman centurion request for his servant. Remember, Matthew records Yeshua's astonishment, a very human trait. Faith like this was not to be expected of a Gentile. Yeshua did not reply to the centurion immediately, but spoke to the people who were following him.
"Now when Yeshua heard this, He marveled and said to those who were following, “Amen, I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith! Moreover, I tell you that many will come from the east and the west, and they will recline at table with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the sons of the kingdom will be driven out into the outer darkness; in that place will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” -
The anointing immediately teaches him that the miracle ministry of Messiah is not just for family but for foes who have faith. And that without faith even the family will miss out on the meal with Abraham.
But the anointing is teaching him. A syro-phoenician woman - a straight up pagan - comes for a healing. Initially, He refuses to do a miracle for her claiming that his anointing is only for the lost house of Israel. Then when she presses him further, he seems to follow the flow of the anointing and accept that His mantle as Messiah goes beyond the borders of Israel. -
Here is the point: the anointing teaches you about your God given destiny. It will teach you about the people you need to have in your life and the ones you do not. It will teach you about the places you need to go that you thought beyond your reach. It will teach you about avenues to pursue you never thought of before.

5.3. Example: My anointing to lead CBM as Senior Rabbi.

6. Bible: God's anointing brings wins right now.

.
because He has anointed me
to proclaim Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim
release to the captives
Luke 4:18–19 TLV
“The Ruach Adonai is on me, because He has anointed me to proclaim Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, and to proclaim the year of Adonai’s favor.”
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to set free the oppressed,
19and to proclaim the year
of ADONAI’s favor.”
Messianic Jewish Family Bible Society, Holy Scriptures: Tree of Life Version (Grand Rapids, MI: Baker Books, 2015), .

6.1. A win for joy

The anointing in this era is always good news. It always is promising, it is always forward looking, it is always positive. It believes all things, it hopes all things, it endures all things.

6.2. A win from slavery

The Anointing that is on your life will cause you to get freedom from sin.
I can tell you from personal experience that the times in my life when I have personally fallen into sin or been the most tempted to sin is when I was out of my anointing, out of my lane.
When you are in the flow of the anointing you sense His power and you say like David, "Don't take your spirit from me."

6.3. A win from blindness

6.4. A win from oppression

6.5. A win for personal favor/prosperity

The Anointing that is on your life will cause people to be good to you, bringing favor, increase, promotion and abundance.

7. Bible: You are anointed even when you feel weak.

“I am this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me.”—.
2 Samuel 3:39 TLV
So today I am vulnerable, even though anointed king. These men, the sons of Zeruiah, are too hard for me to handle. May Adonai reward the evildoer according to his wickedness.”
Spurgeon said, "We may be anointed, and yet weak. Every believer is an anointed king."
It was but little wonderful that David’s kingdom was weak, for it was but newly gained; and it is but little marvel if we also are very weak in the beginning of our spiritual life. Even later on your walk with the Messiah you will have moments of weakness. Sometimes it will be besetting sins other times it will the sons of Zeruiah pressing in on you.
I want to quote Spurgeon again, "We are anointed kings and though we face weakness, our weakness shall not prevent our reigning."
To experience the fullness of the anointing you may have to clear out the sons of Zeruiah.
There will always be people who try to talk you out of your anointing. Others will try to replace the anointing with substitutes.

8. Conclusion

You are not limited to your own abilities. That will take you to a certain level. The next level comes from the anointing of God. This is where the anointing to comes in. It takes you where you could not go on your own.
Here is the key, the anointing does you no good if you go around saying, “It will never happen. I will never get victory. I will never fulfill God's destiny for my life. I will never find God's destiny for my life.”
Wherever there is faith, there is the fresh empowering of the anointing.
You have to emulate the faith of the early Jewish followers of Yeshua that walked with Yeshua. People who believe that "All things are possible with God." and "anything is possible for him that believes."
The anointing to us is like the power cable to your lap-top or smart phone. You can have the fanciest, most high-powered lap-top in the world. But if you don't connect it to power ever 7 to hours your computer screen will go black and it will not work. You can have a great car, expensive car but if you don’t put the gas in the car then you are not going anywhere.
The anointing is only activated wherever there is faith. Instead of declaring the negative turn it around and speak the positive. You need to put fuel in the car. And, help other people find the fuel.
My wife knew last week was a hard week on me. Even though I preached on dealing with thoughts of inadequacy I struggled big time with it. I was down on myself and had a rough day. I woke up and she had written this on my bathroom mirror:
"I am God's Masterpiece." She did not write "you are" because she wanted me to have faith, she wanted me to encourage myself in the Lord. She showed me the gas station so I could put gas in the car, showed me the power plug so I could connect to power.
You may work around people that are negative. That will drain the battery. You need to see things differently. You are anointed to deal with a grouchy boss. Anointed to deal with the co-worker.
Maybe you are dealing with a difficult child. You need to remember God has anointed you to deal with a difficult child. God has equipped you and empowered you to deal with this difficult situation.
The anointing breaks every yoke. The anointing breaks the yokes of depression, etc.
Concluding Prayer

You will be a better mother or father when you are walking in the fresh empowering of God's anointing. You will lead through tough times with ease. You will lead with favor. You will become an example that your children will want to emulate.
Instead of feeling like your are limited, you will fill God's unlimited favor. Doors will open before you, favor will surround you and even your enemies will speak well of you.
“Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings. He will not stand before obscure people.” (Proverbs 22:29, TLV)

5. Bible: God's anointing teaches you your God given destiny.

Remember it says, “And Yeshua kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” (Luke 2:52, TLV).
In Matthew 8, Yeshua extends the benefit of his anointing to a Roman centurion request for his servant.
But the sons of the kingdom will be driven out into the outer darkness; in that place will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” - Matthew 8:10-12
- Mark 7:24-29
Here is the point: the anointing teaches you about your God given destiny. It will teach you about the people you need to have in your life and the ones you do not. It will teach you about the places you need to go that you thought beyond your reach. It will teach you about avenues to pursue you never thought of before.

6. Bible: God's anointing brings wins right now.

18“The Ruach ADONAI is on me,
because He has anointed me
to proclaim Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim
release to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to set free the oppressed,
19and to proclaim the year
of ADONAI’s favor.”
Messianic Jewish Family Bible Society, Holy Scriptures: Tree of Life Version (Grand Rapids, MI: Baker Books, 2015), Lk 4:18–19.

“I am this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me.”—2 Samuel 3:39.
