What do the blood and body of Christ have to do with our commemoration at Communion? ()
What do the blood and body of Christ have to do with our commemoration at Communion?
(1) The blood allows for boldness to go before the presence of God
(2) The body was the torn veil that stood between God and us
This means that everything necessary to enter into the presence of God is fully accomplished in Jesus Christ.
Because of this, what are we called to do:
(1) To believe in the effectiveness of the blood/body of Christ over personal guilt (v. 22)
(2) To believe in the effectiveness of the blood/body of Christ over our own faithfulness (v. 23)
(3) To believe in the effectiveness of the blood/body of Christ over our self-centeredness (v. 24 - 25)
