PRAYER - Heavenly Father, We thank you for our mothers.

They are to be honored for the high calling you’ve given them.

We thank you for the examples of Godly mothers we see throughout scripture as with Hannah, Mary, Elizabeth, Louis, and Eunice.

We thank you for provides guidance for mothers in and throughout scripture.

Lord, I ask that the mothers here today would not only see the drudgery of house work or the demands of raising children, but especially the privilege of making the next generation more like Christ and pointing young children to Christ as Savior and Lord.

Forgive us for dishonoring, disappointing, and discouraging our mothers through our pride and rebellion.

Forgive us for the ways we’ve made their service to us more difficult.

Lord I also want to pray that you comfort the moms whose children who are rebelling against You and for all the women who desire children more than words can express.

I pray Lord that you would restore broken relationships between mothers and their children.

I pray that all mothers would experience a double portion of your joy and peace.

Challenge for Moms:

Are you praying for your children?

Do you thank God for your children?

Do you watch over your children?

Are you discipling your children?

What are the results of this kind of devotion to a child?

Samuel became a mighty prophet of God who was used to usher in King David.

He led Israel as judge, and guided Israel and its king as Prophet.

Timothy became a mighty man of God, planting churches, establishing elders, leading others to Christ and spreading the gospel around the world.

CLOSING PRAYER - Lord, again we thank you for our mothers.

For their sacrifice and dedication to nurturing and providing for us.

Thank you for the sleepless nights, tearful prayers, and unwavering devotion they have for their children.

I pray God that you would bless each mother today and reinforce in them the joyful and yet profoundly important task of raising children.

I pray that you would guide them as they pray for their children, watch over their children and disciple their children.

Use this invitation to solidify in their hearts their calling as moms!
