CIT: Doing wrong things comes out of the desires of our own lives, not by the hand of God.
CIS: God has never tempted you and when we make the wrong choice it is our fault.
SO: Kids will learn to own their own mistakes and not blame God or others.
SM - Have you ever told someone NO? Why did you have to tell them NO? Does God cause us to make mistakes?
We – can see someone from a long ways away that might be making a bad choice…School, home, the park. Can you always see when you are about to do something wrong?
T.S. - James teaches us a lesson about who is the one that made the mistake.
Bible -
And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else. Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.
You – and I don’t want to think that it was our fault. Brother or sister, friend from school. They made me do it! It is always easier to blame someone else for mistakes. It’s very clear God doesn’t tempt us and others can try and get us to do the wrong thing but we have THE POWER TO SAY, “NO.”
Interesting part what happens to those who spend all their time worried about their stuff and whats mine. God gives it to them but they miss out on the greatest gift of all heaven.
ILL. Option to take drugs...
We – need to learn that our mistakes we make are because of our own choices and if we learn know to say No and follow Gods ways our lives will turn out some much Greater with God leading us.
PRAY - Lord teach me to say No to bad choices and yes to your ways.
