Luke 1:
Introduction
Our Ultimate Enemy: Time
This enemy of time consumes us, and it often pushes us away from doing the will of God.
The devil is working overtime and using this to his advantage!
He’s telling the young people, “You’re too young!”
And he’s telling the elders, “You’re too old!”
And he’ll go beyond age!
He doesn’t have to make you fall completely into sin - he just has to make you believe a lie!
“You’re not popular enough!” “You’re not smart enough!” “You’re not well-known!” “You can’t speak well!” “You don’t have enough money!” “You’re not the right gender!” “You’re not from the right family, and you’re past is too dirty!”
But I stand here this morning to come against the notions that the devil would deliver to the saints of God!
It’s not time to throw in the towel!
It’s not time to hang your Holy Ghost on the rack!
The Holy Ghost doesn’t go into effect at a later date, and it don’t have an expiration date on it!
Body
Elisabeth
There is no spotlight on Elisabeth in our Bible until she had reached her elder years.
One thing to seriously notice about Elisabeth is that the Bible says that she and her husband were “righteous before God” and “blameless.”
