Greetings...
Over the last several weeks we have been striving for “Open Eyes” about God through His Word.
8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.
18 Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.
The focus has been to have lessons that teach our children who their God is and an encouragement to our older members of who their God is.
I’ve been so pleased with our kids and the effort many are putting into listening and learning about God these last several weeks.
Today we are going to be looking at our last lesson on the “Scheme of Redemption.”
“Scheme of Redemption” explained...
“Scheme of Redemption” in the genealogies, Mosaic Law, and God’s providence through empires of antiquity or history.
Having looked at the Scheme of Redemption from “creation up to the fulness of time” we now turn out study to the “fulness of time” and Jesus on this earth.

Jesus is God.

We can’t stress enough that Jesus is God.
He has always been with God.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He has always been considered equal to the Father.

What does that mean through?
This means Jesus, who was spirit, became flesh.
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
This means Jesus became flesh.

That means Jesus had to “give up” things to become flesh.
He gave up equality with God, for a time.

Summery
Like everything with God there was a purpose and the Godhead knew there would be a high price for such a plan.

Thankfully, the Father, Son, and Spirit were willing to pay the price for our salvation.
However, in order for God the Father to complete His plan to redeem us He had to send Jesus to this earth to become flesh and be perfect under the Law of Moses.

Jesus lived perfectly under the Law.

No one before or after has kept the law of God perfectly.

Why was this so important?
Why was this so important?
It was important because...
It proved Jesus was the promised Messiah.
44 Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”
The Jews broke up the Old Testament into three parts, the law, prophets, and psalms or holy writings.
It meant Jesus could be the sacrifice required for redemption.
The Law: The first five books of the Bible.
The Prophets: Joshua, Judges, Samuels, Kings, major prophets and minor prophets.
The Psalms or Holy Writings: Ruth, Esther, Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Daniel
We know that God has always demanded perfection in sacrifices made to Him.
20 You shall not offer anything that has a blemish, for it will not be acceptable for you.
We know that God required a new covenant/testament to restore the relationship He had in the garden with man.
5 For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death. 6 But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.
33 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Rom 7:
We know that God had to die in order to establish this new covenant/testament because He made the old one.
Jer 31:33
16 For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
We also know that without the shedding of blood there is no “forgiveness of sins” or redemption for God’s people and the relationship He desires.
22 Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.
Hebrews 9:
We also know that a sinless sacrifice would put an end to all other sacrifices.
12 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God,

Summery
Jesus perfectly kept the Law of Moses, living sinless in His lifetime on earth, which allowed Him to redeem us.
It tells us that Jesus “had” to become flesh, l

Conclusion
What does all this mean?
It means that “God showed His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” ().
