Guiding Our Steps

Welcome to Teacher’s Appreciation Service
Proverbs 22:6
Proverbs 22:6 KJV 1900
6 Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it.
There are two kinds of education one teaches us how to make a living and the other teaches us how to live.
Challenging Voices
Everyone in this Church can recall certain voices, the voice of teachers who changed the way we live our lives. I am concerned, at at last, with the next generation of voice. Our teachers- I pray that they will be as strong and confident and effective in what they do as those who came before. And they will be, if we recall on nature and purpose in God.
So our teachers must have these 7 Godly Characteristics
1.Attentive to Christ’s Voice:
John 10:3–4 KJV 1900
To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
2.Blameless and Harmless:
Philippians 2:15 KJV 1900
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Php 2:15
Proverbs 28:1 KJV 1900
The wicked flee when no man pursueth: But the righteous are bold as a lion.
Pr 28:1
Isaiah 57:15 KJV 1900
For thus saith the high and lofty One That inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, With him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
Isa 57:
Acts 8:2 KJV 1900
And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.
Acts 8:2
Acts 22:12 KJV 1900
And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there,
acts 22:12
Revelation 17:14 KJV 1900
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
Rev 17:
7.Fearing God:
Matthew 3:16 KJV 1900
And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
Acts 10:2 KJV 1900
A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
act 10:2
