11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, thought like a child, and reasoned like a child.

When I became an adult, I no longer used childish ways.

12 Now we see a blurred image in a mirror.

Then we will see very clearly.

Now my knowledge is incomplete.

Then I will have complete knowledge as God has complete knowledge of me.

13 So these three things remain: faith, hope, and love.

4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

4 The weapons we use in our fight are not made by humans.

Rather, they are powerful weapons from God.

With them we destroy people’s defenses, that is, their arguments

5 and all their intellectual arrogance that oppose the knowledge of God.

We take every thought captive so that it is obedient to Christ.

6 We are ready to punish every act of disobedience when you have become completely obedient.

We capture every thought and make it give up and obey Christ.

It takes a level of maturity to Capture Thoughts..

We are dealing with defensive weapons (arguments)

Intellectual arrogance

Remember you go from thinking as childish Christian to a Grownish Christian...

In your lives you must think and act like Christ Jesus.

Christ himself was like God in everything.

But he did not think that being equal with God was something to be used for his own benefit.

But he gave up his place with God and made himself nothing.

I Grew Up: arise, develop, Turnnn, come into a new state of being..

I Put away Childish things.. ( wipe out, abolish; set aside, to put an end to a state or an activity.

Repentance:

The Hebrew word for “repentance” is derived from conversion or return; the Greek word, from change of mind or of intention.

And the thing itself corresponds closely to the etymology of both words.

The meaning is that, departing from ourselves, we turn to God, and having taken off our former mind, we put on a new.

repentance can thus be well defined: it is the true turning of our life to God, a turning that arises from a pure and earnest fear of him; 14 and it consists in the mortification of our flesh and of the old man, and in the vivification of the Spirit.

Since you have been a Christian, have you ever had to repent for a way you where thinking that you believed you where right about but realized once you got older, wiser and mature you where dead stinking wrong.....

Paul is teaching Us In 1 Corinthians Chapter 12 (when he brings up Spiritual gifts) 1 Corinthians chapter 13 ( when he brings up the greatest gift) 1 Cor Chapter 14 ( when he brings up Prophecy & Tongues)

Love Must be the Foundation of everything you do in Christ..

The early Church leaders Modeled love to the churches and in return the churches modeled to the rest of the World..

While the leaders possessed great gifts, their gifts took 2nd place to serving others out of Love....

This Might Surprise You But…Leaders aren’t suppose to do all the work of the Church.

But we are to effectively broker the talent on the team.

Good teams use every gift and enjoy both unity and diversity..

Todays Church look’s like this so i guess we have to blame the Leaders that birthed us…

Talented but unreliable

Gifted but rebellious

Anointed but un-loving

Called but Not Chosen

Tell someone that needs some nivea on deem elbows.. its time to get that grownish goin on…

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient and kind;

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends.
