Definition: “The infinity of God is that perfection of God by which He is free from all limitations. In ascribing it to God we deny that there are or can be any limitations to the divine Being or attributes” (Berkhof, 59).
Three Areas of God’s Infinity
His absolute perfection —
Psalm 145:3 ESV
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.
His eternity —
Psalm 90:2 ESV
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
His immensity —
1 Kings 8:27 ESV
