11 Times in verses 18 and 22 Jesus used the pronoun “You” or “Your”
The personal nature of God’s call is important because it shows that God is interested in the individual not just the group.
You are important to Him!
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
When Jesus left Heaven it was to bring His salvation to the World.
The word “whoever” is singular! It is about one person at a time.
It could be rephrased this way:
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that when ______________ believes in Him, _____________ will not perish, but __________ will have eternal life.

Peter asked about John
Often we use other’s obedience and calling to justify our choices.
Throughout the Bible, we see example after example of God calling people to particular roles or ministries.
What you never see in Scripture is God calling people to what I sometimes call “free range” ministry where people just wander through life on their own, making it up as they go.
He sent His people specifically to the task assigned and expected them to continue in it.
God’s call to Peter’s life was different from His call on John’s life
Jesus’ call to you is to continue in what He has given you to do.

God is not going to “change His mind” regarding His love and plan for your life.
“God is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor a son of man, that He should repent;
Has He said, and will He not do it?
Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
In God says, “For I, the LORD, do not change”.
In God says, “For I, the LORD, do not change”.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Jesus’ heart is to see you do what He created you for.
He is waiting for you to respond to His voice.
He will call until you can no longer hear His voice, trying to show you His grace.
