Review of Principle 7 of 7 Principles of Winning.

PRINCIPLE 7: The principle of FIRST.
The covenant power of giving
1. God Wants You Blessed
Deut 28:13 God wants you to be above only and never beneath!
Deuteronomy 28:13 NIV
13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.
We will go over this a little bit more later.
2. God Must Have The First
Everything in God’s economy runs on the principle of first.
God wants the First of everything
First Child....First animal…First of crops… etc.
AND TODAY...
3. TITHING & GIVING DECLARES THE GREATNESS OF GOD
Tithing declares honor to the One who can bless you
Prov 3:9-10 Honor the Lord with your substance/ first fruits of increase
Proverbs 3:9–10 NIV
9 Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; 10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.
Heb 7:1-7   Tithing declares the greatness of God
Hebrews 7:1–7 NIV
1 This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him, 2 and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, the name Melchizedek means “king of righteousness”; then also, “king of Salem” means “king of peace.” 3 Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever. 4 Just think how great he was: Even the patriarch Abraham gave him a tenth of the plunder! 5 Now the law requires the descendants of Levi who become priests to collect a tenth from the people—that is, from their fellow Israelites—even though they also are descended from Abraham. 6 This man, however, did not trace his descent from Levi, yet he collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises. 7 And without doubt the lesser is blessed by the greater.
Tithing declares our blood covenant with God
Gen 14:17-20 Abraham gives 1/10 of all the plunder to Melchizedek King of Salem
Genesis 14:17–20 NIV
17 After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley). 18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, 19 and he blessed Abram, saying, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. 20 And praise be to God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.” Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.
Gen 28:10-22 Jacob gives a 1/10 of all after the dream that he had on his way to Haran where his uncle Laban lived...  BECAUSE OF TITHING... Jacob was blessed during his stay with Laban. EVERY THNING HE TOUCHED PROSPERED
Every time they set up stones it was for sacrifice - It was an altar of sacrifice.
Gen 8:20 Noah built an altar
Gen 35:7 Gen 12:7 Abram built an altar
Gen 13:18 Abram built an altar
Gen 22:9 Jacob's sacrifice was a tenth of all he would ever get Jacob was faithful in his tithe through the good and the bad... and that is why he was blessed..
Genesis 22:9 NIV
9 When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood.
Gen 26:25 Isaac built an altar
Genesis 26:25 NIV
25 Isaac built an altar there and called on the name of the Lord. There he pitched his tent, and there his servants dug a well.
Only God Gives The Ability To Create Wealth
Deut 8:17-18  God gives the ability to create wealth and so confirms his covenant.
Deuteronomy 8:17–18 NIV
17 You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” 18 But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.
Prov 10:22 The Blessing of the Lord brings wealth
Proverbs 10:22 NIV
22 The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it.
Those who credit themselves with their hard work and wealth live on a dangerous slope.
Dan 4:28-33 Nebuchadnezzar disciplined for pride.
Daniel 4:28–33 NIV
28 All this happened to King Nebuchadnezzar. 29 Twelve months later, as the king was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, 30 he said, “Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?” 31 Even as the words were on his lips, a voice came from heaven, “This is what is decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar: Your royal authority has been taken from you. 32 You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like the ox. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes.” 33 Immediately what had been said about Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from people and ate grass like the ox. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird.
Ps 5:12 Surely O Lord you bless the righteous
Psalm 5:12 NIV
12 Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.
God wants to bless those with a humble, giving heart!
Wherever your money is, that is where your heart is
Lk 12:34 Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also
Luke 12:34 NIV
34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
4. WHAT YOU MAKE HAPPEN FOR OTHERS, GOD WILL MAKE HAPPEN FOR YOU
1. Luke 6:38 Give and it shall be given to you
Luke 6:38 NIV
38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
2. Gal 6:7 Reap what you sow
Galatians 6:7 NIV
7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
3. Prov 18:24 For man to have friends, he must show himself friendly  What you make happen for others, God will make up it for you.
Proverbs 18:24 NIV
24 One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
