Matthew 5:13 KJV 1900
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Salt Preserves(jogaaunu)

Tiniharu prithbikaa nun haau; Tara nunle aaphno swaad gumaayo bhane tyo kele nunilo paarinechha ra? Tyas-pachi taa tyo baahira phaalinu ra maanis-haru-duaaraa kulchi-milchi paarinu-baahek aru kehi kaam-ko hu’daina.
To give we must first have
To do for others we must first be
Mark 9:50 KJV 1900
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
Nun asal ho, tara nunle aaphno swaad gumaayo bhane tyaslaai timiharu kele swaadilo parnechhaau?aaphu-aaphumaa kun raakh, ra ek arkaa-sit milaap-maa bas.”

Salt Preserves(jogaaunu)

The salty Christian will give protection
from the sin and trouble of the world
To his family
To his friends
To his church
To his coworkers
Mark 9:50 KJV 1900
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
The Bible often tells us to be careful
To watch for worldly influence (prabhaabv)
For sin
For evil
For Satan’s attacks
Give warning(chetaavani)
James 1:27 KJV 1900
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Parameswar ra pitaako saamu chokho ra shuddha dharma yahi ho - Tuhuraa-haru ra bidhawaa-harulaai uni-haruko dukha-maa hernu ra aaphulaai samsaar-baaTa niskalanka raakhnu.
Proverbs 4:23 KJV 1900
Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life.
First, ourselves, then we should protect those around us
Psalm 34:13 KJV 1900
Keep thy tongue from evil, And thy lips from speaking guile.
1 Timothy 6:20 KJV 1900
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
He Timothi, jun gyaan-laai gbaan bhannu nai jhuTa kuraa ho, tyaskaa ashuddha ra byarthakaa bakabaad ra birodh-haru-baaTa tarkiera timile timro jimmaa-maa sumpieko kuraako rakhavwaali gara -

1 Timothy 5:22 KJV 1900
Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure.
Kunai maanis-mathi juTTai haat0haru naraakha, na taa aru maanis-harukaa paap-harumaa bhaagidara hou; Aaphai-laai shuddha raakh.
1 John 5:21 KJV 1900
Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
He saanaa naani-haruho, aaphulaai murti-haru-baaTa jogaairaakh. Aamen.
As salt, we should keep others from corruption and sin
Warn others
Preach truth
Be salt

Salt Purifies(shuddha banaaunu)

Salt water in a wound can kill germs
Our presence should help to stop sin
People should be uncomfortable(asahaja)
We don’t speak bad words near _____
We don’t play bad music near _____
We don’t drink alcohol around _____
If _____ is with us, we aren’t going to watch a dirty movie
We are salt and we should purify
Without you they may do wicked things,
But your presence should make things pure
How can my presence have this influence(prabhaab) on others?
First, you need to spend time in God’s presence
Spend time in God’s Word
Spend time in prayer
Spend time in God’s presence
And people will see:
Moses glowed after spending time with God
Exodus 34:29–35 KJV 1900
And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him. And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him. And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them. And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the Lord had spoken with him in mount Sinai. And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face. But when Moses went in before the Lord to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded. And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
Exodus 34:29-
“Moshaako anuhaar chamkiraheko hunthyo;”
Why? Because he was with God
Peter and John changed men because they spent time with God
Acts 4:13 KJV 1900
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
Tara jaba tiniharule Patrus ra Yuhannaa-ko saahas dekhe, ra uniharu-chaahi’ anapaDh ra ashikshit maanis-haru rahechhan bhani thaaha paae, taba tiniharu chhakkai pare; Ani uniharu-chaahi’ Yeshukaa saathmaa rahekaa rahechhan bhani tiniharule uniharulaai chine.
ukaa saathmaa rahekaa rahechhan bhani tiniharule uniharulaai chine.
The prisoners listened to Paul and Silas singing in prison
Acts 16:25 KJV 1900
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
Ani madhya-raat-maa Paawal ra Silaas praarthanaa gari-rahekaa ra Parameswarko bhajan gaairahekaa thie, ani kaidi-harule aniharulaai sunirahekaa thie.
Do you have purifying, cleansing influence in your daily life?
Not if your life is not first clean!
Wash dishes with dirty water?
Wash bike with dirty cloth?
Living a clean and pure life is by decision
It does not happen by accident(samyog) in our corrupt(bhrashTa), dirty world.
To be pure, we must first decide,
Then act in obedience
We are all called to purity:
Titus 2:14 KJV 1900
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Timilaai sabai adharma-baaTa chhuTkaaraa dinaalaai ra asal-asal kaam-harumaa joshilo bhaeko euTaa bishesh jaati-laai aaphnai nimti shuddha paarnaalaai uhaa’le aaphailaai haamraa nimti dihaalnu-bhayo.
James 4:8 KJV 1900
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Parameswarko najik-maa jaao, ra uhaa’ pani timiharuko najikmaa aaunuhunechha. Ho paapi-haru-ho aaphnaa haat-haru shuddha paar; He dui-chitte-haruho, aaphnaa hridaya-haru pabitra paar.
Proverbs 4:23 KJV 1900
Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life.
First we are called to be pure,
then we are called to purify others like salt

Salt Pleases(kushi dinu)

Without salt food would be bland(namra)
Hundreds of different spices(Masaalaa),
but nearly every cook(bhaanse) uses salt
We live an a difficult and sad world
Many people need encouragement
They need a smile(muskaan)
They need a kind word
Will you be ready to give that help?
Or are you focused on your own problems
Living sad
Job 6:6 KJV 1900
Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? Or is there any taste in the white of an egg?
Jas-maa swaad bhaina, ke tyo nun-binaa khaana sakinchha ra? Athawaa ke anDaa-ko seto bhaag-maa swaad hunchha ra?
Proverbs 25:11 KJV 1900
A word fitly spoken Is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
Thik-sa’ga bolieko shabda-chaahi’ chaa’diko thaal-maa raakhiekaa sunkaa syaau-haru-justo ho.
Proverbs 15:23 KJV 1900
A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: And a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
Aaphno mukh-ko jabaaph-duaaraa maanisle aananda paauchha; Ani Thik samayamaa bolieko bachan kati asal hunchha!
Isaiah 50:4 KJV 1900
The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, That I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: He wakeneth morning by morning, He wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
Is 50:14
Thakit-laai maile kasari thik samayamaa bachan bolera sahaayataa dinu ho, so jaanu bhanera Prabhu Yahobaa-le malaai sikaaiekaa-haruko jibro dinu-bhaeko chha; Uhaa’le malaai harek bihaana jagaaunuhunchha; sikaaiekaa-harule jhai sunu bhanera uhaale mero kaam jagaaunu-hunchha.
Be a salty Christian
Give encouragement(protsaahan)
Give a kind word
Give a smile

Salt Prods(Thes garnu)

Brings us to water
You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink
Runners eat salt to make sure that they drink plenty of water
John 4:13–14 KJV 1900
Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
13 Yeshule jabaaph diera uslaai bhannu-bhayo: “Yas paani-baaTa piune harek pheri tirkhaaunechha; 14 Tara jasle tyo paani-baaTa piulaa, jo ma uslaai dinechhu, u kahilyai tirkhaaunechhaina; Tara jun paani ma uslaai dinechhu, tyo ubhitra ananta jibaankaa nimti upmirahane paaniko muhaan bannechha.”
We can make people thirsty for Jesus
For truth
For living water
Sometimes I have shared the gospel
I tell people about the life of Christ
About Jesus death on the cross for my sins, for your sins
About His resurrection
About His victory over death
and people reject(aswikaar) the gospel
Not because they don’t understand
But because of Christians they know!
I know a Christian...
“My Christian friends are no different!”
“Christians are greedy!”
“Christians are hypocrites - say one thing, do another”
Liars
What is your testimony?
Are you salty?
People should say about us:
I want his God
I want his faith
We should preserve
We should purify
We should please
We should bring others to Christ.
