Life is a journey

Hebrews 11:8–10 NKJV
By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
We are told that the patriarch Abraham was commanded by God to leave the familiar and journey to an unfamiliar place
The word faith here is the word Pisti - We think of a blind step but the word implies a state of confidence that results in an action - it is also faithfulness; faithfulness is the result of confidence!
It is used in the sense of “confidence in weapons”
It speaks of the conditions resulting from those bound by the terms of a treaty
A guarantee which creates the possibility of trust, that which may be relied upon
It was because of the confidence that Abraham set out on a journey into the unknown.
It says he “obeyed” - to be subordinate to; to “open up” the door - the position of a man in relation to dominant moral or religious powers.
There came a moment in the life of Abraham that he had to make a conscious decision about what he believed about God
No one could stand in his place, no one could take his journey, no one could be his strength
Just as on the day of judgement, no one can stand in your place, no one can take your punishment, no one can be your strength
There will come a moment in your life when this journey will end, when it does are you ready?
Abraham had to choose between the familiar, routine, the mundane and the uncharted, unfamiliar, and the unknown
Today I am going to ask you to make the most important decision of your life

John 3:16–17 NKJV
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Have you seen Him?
Can hear the cry of His heart for you to come home?
Today God is asking you to gaze upon the great sacrifice He made on your behalf!
Like the people on the train, they had no idea death was about to swallow them alive
The did not know what sacrifice was made for them on that day but oh today I can tell you that today is the day of salvation
God is calling you to step into the unknown of His glorious grace!
2 Corinthians 6:2 NKJV
For He says: In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
