The Need of the Hour
The Gospel is under attack.
It has always been under attack.
Satan, the god of this world has always been actively blinding the minds of the unbelieving for the sole reason of not seeing the light of the gospel.

His favourite way to blind is through deception of religion.
Mormons: Nephi 27 - Jesus promises those who repent, are baptized and faithfully endure to the end, him will I hold guiltless before my father.
Despite the understanding of the times, there have been those willing to stand alone on the clear teaching of Scriptures.
Luther, A proverb of the time neatly sums up the thinking of the day:

Believing on Christ is distinctly not “turning the direction of your life over to Him” It is looking in faith to our Saviour crucified for our sins on Calvary!

Just last november, in the baptist church where I was pastoring, a group of people got up and took over the pulpit and decided they were tired of hearing the same gospel message.
Their reasoning was that they had a tradition of 100 years to maintian and 100 years.
They pleaded with me in private and public that all I would have to do is compromise.
As we proclaim a clear and concise gospel, the veil is lifted and people find freedom.
The gospel is good news about how God declares the guilty, innocent.
Us Today?
Don’t loose hope!
While everyone is looking at things from a physical perspective, we are those who understand the crux of the matter is not from outside but from the heart of man as a result of sin.
God continues to be the solution.
