No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you … Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1:5,9

Divine Presence

Joshua had good reason to be afraid: He had just been given the assignment to lead God’s people across the Jordan into the land promised to them. He must have been terrified at suddenly being responsible for the fate of so many people. But did you notice the factor that changed everything? The Lord God promised to be with Joshua at all times, in all circumstances and in every place.

Divine Presence

A recent ad campaign proclaimed “No Fear.” Wouldn’t it be fantastic to never experience even a moment of anxiety or doubt simply by buying a product, hiring a body guard or installing a security system? But we know better. Fear seems to haunt us — fear of the future, fear of a doctor’s report, fear of a failed relationship.
Just as God promised to go with Joshua, he extends that same promise to you. There is no place you can go that God is not, and nothing he will ask you to do for which he will not first prepare you. When you accept that as truth, you can worship him with a thankful heart no matter what your situation.
What fears do you face? Name them. What personal battles do you have to fight, or what strange land are you about to enter? Like Joshua, remember God’s promise to be with you “wherever you go.” What an incredible statement! Wherever you are right now, in whatever circumstance, the holy God of Israel is with you. Let that truth build your confidence today. Turn your fear into faith. Divine Presence
The divine presence is often manifest by God’s visible glory, accompanied by fire, smoke, and cloud, since God himself cannot be seen except as he became incarnate. God speaks, walks, and most importantly dwells among his people in the tabernacle () and as the Word made flesh ().

no matter what happened, He would accomplish his will in and through you.
Know that your life and your action has been factored into a divine plan.
We will have to amend for our sin, but God will still fulfill His will through our life.

II. Courage in life’s battles

God promises to accompany Moses and the people to the promised land
Joshua 1:5 NKJV

God also promise us victory over the enemy.
Just as God promised to go with Joshua, he extends that same promise to you. There is no place you can go that God is not, and nothing he will ask you to do for which he will not first prepare you.

III. In a Small Assembly of Believers

Matthew 18:20 NKJV
20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

The promise of God’s Divine Presence is no confined to the Church or large groups, but extends to the agreed request of two because they are gathered in the name of Jesus
The promise is not confined to ‘the church’ as a whole, but extends to the agreed request of two of you, because if their gathering is in my name then Jesus himself is part of that gathering.
here he shows His Disciples the great universal truth applies also at the personal level.
Matthew: An Introduction and Commentary iv. ‘If Your Brother Sins …’ (18:15–20)

The Jesus who could speak the words of 28:20, and of whom the name Emmanuel could be used (1:23), here assures his disciples that that great universal truth applies also at the personal level.

IV. To The End

Revelation 21:3 NKJV
3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.
rev 21
At the end God promises us a new heaven and earth but most important thing about this new city is that God will dwell there with his people.

then He dwelt in Israel in the tabernacle

Today God no longer live in man-made temples
Acts 7:48–50 NKJV
48 “However, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says: 49Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. What house will you build for Me? says the Lord, Or what is the place of My rest? 50 Has My hand not made all these things?’

Both the Tabernacle and the Temple, the Veil stood between men and God. when the veil was torn in two when Jesus died, thus opening a “new and living way” for God’s people. (heb. 10:19)
