1 Timothy 1:15 NKJV
15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
Deuteronomy 8:1–3 NKJV
1 “Every commandment which I command you today you must be careful to observe, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers. 2 And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. 3 So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.
Luke 4:4
Luke 4:4–8 NKJV
4 But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’ ” 5 Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. 7 Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.” 8 And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”
Freedom from Satan begins with knowledge of God’s Law and culminates in obedience to Him

God’s Word Provides Knowledge (Deut. 8:1)

We see this in verse 1.
There are commandments that He demands we follow. They aren’t suggestions, or “if you want to’s,” but commands.
Third, we see that careful obedience results not only in life, but in a blessed life.

God’s Word Demands Obedience To Him (1b-2)

The people are to be careful to observe.
We see that careful obedience results not only in life, but in a blessed life.
Obedience includes various aspects:
Testing (verse 2) “forty years in the wilderness”
Learning humility
Having a “heart love” over a “head knowledge.”

God’s Word Provides Freedom from Sin [thereby Satan] (; , ; )

With freedom from sin comes a heart for the things of the Lord.
:
Deuteronomy 8:3 NKJV
3 So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.
