Mt 25:31-46; 2Th 3:6-15; Jas 4:17. Dan Kroon. This Sunday night we return to our series on The 7 Deadly Sins by looking at the sin of ‘sloth’. The first three sins (lust, gluttony, greed) were all about selfish indulgence and wayward loves. Sloth transitions us from living indulgently (eg. laziness) to living without love/s – apathy and indifference. This, in many ways, is worse than selfishness and idolatry because it chips away at the faith, hope and love that defines us Christians. On top of that, we’ll see how it also results in sins of omission – not doing the good we’re called to because we just don’t care.
