It all Begins with the Work of Jesus

1 Corinthians 2:14 NASB95
But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.
1 Corinthians 2:14
1 Corinthians 2:
1 Corinthians 2:14 NASB95
But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.
1 Corinthians 2:14 NASB95
But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.
1 Corinthians 2:14
Ephesians 1:18–20 NASB95
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
Ephesians 1:18-19
Throughout Scripture, God seeks out relationship with man. God is always the initiator.
2 Timothy 2:24-26
2 Timothy 2:24–26 NASB95
The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.
2 Timothy
God working in us helps us to finally see truth:

The Work of Jesus is the core truth of all that matters

Foundational to every thing we do as believers is the truth of the Gospel
Luke 24:46–47 NASB95
and He said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
Luke 24:46-47
There are a lot of good things done for others in the name of Jesus.
Doing things for others in the name of Jesus without explaining the centrality of Jesus is wasted time.
tells us that the essence, indeed the most important thing that matters is that we proclaim His love for the nations.
Luke 24:48
Luke 24:48 NASB95
“You are witnesses of these things.
Acts 1:8 NASB95
but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
What God opens our minds to understand that if we miss the Gospel we have missed everything.

The Work of Jesus on Earth is only the Beginning

The wonderful work of Christ on earth purchased our eternity but His Spirit’s work in us prepares us for eternity.
Luke 24:49 NASB95
“And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”
Acts 1:8 NASB95
but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
Ephesians 4:30 NASB95
Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
When our minds are opened to the significance of the Gospel and we make it the center of our being and purpose, His Spirit empowers us to live for Him in spite of the challenges of this life.
