The Word Of God

Kidz World Today - Children’s Church
Hebrews 4:12 NLT
12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith!
The Word Of God
Activate The Word
Last week - we began the series by identifying that God is all Powerful and His Word is all Powerful
God is all powerful - His Word is all Powerful!
God’s word has the power to change the natural physical world
God is able to work on our behalf. But all too often, instead of looking to Him when we face a crisis, we try to come up with our own solution. If we need extra money, we might think the best thing to do is get a second job or work overtime. That may not be they way to go!
1 Corinthians 2:5 NKJV
5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
Paul reminds us that to activate the Word of God we must have faith - not in the wisdom of men, But the Power Of God!
Activate The Word
In order to Activate the Word
You must Turn on the Switch
Faith turns on the switch that activates The Word Of God!
The Power Of God is the Word Of God
In order to activate the Word of God you must believe in the Word of God
Proverbs 18:21 NKJV
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue." Every time we open our mouths, we are speaking either death and destruction or life and blessing into a situation.
The Word of God contains the power of God.
That power is activated when we speak God's Word to our situations.
The Word of God contains the power of God. That power is activated when we speak God's Word to our situations. When we hide God's Word in our hearts and speak forth that Word, we, like God, can change our situation.
When we hide God's Word in our hearts and speak forth that Word, we, activate the Power Of God, to come into our situation to manifest change
The Word Of God Is Alive
Hebrews 4:12 AMP
12 For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
Your Faith Activates the Word Of God
Hebrews 11:6 NLT
6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
Hebrews
Mark 9:23 NLT
23 “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”
Mark 9:24–25 NKJV
24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” 25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!”
Mark 9
Mark 9:26–27 NKJV
26 Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, “He is dead.” 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose.
John 14:12–14 NLT
12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. 13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!
Apply The Word Of God
Romans 10:17 NKJV
17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
James 1:22–27 NLT
22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. 25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it. 26 If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. 27 Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.
Romans 10:17 NKJV
17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
James 1:22–25 NLT
22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. 25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.
