4. Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy].
Here is the argument against verse 4

2014 testimony Healing
The are Two ways to receive the healing power of God.
•Primary -Through Faith in the word of God
•Secondary-Several methods through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. (, ) This second method is very popular because all you have to do is show up when the gifts are in operation.

1 .You must grow in grace, live and walk by faith.

1 .You must grow in grace, live and walk by faith.

( AMP , , )
•Grace- The free unmerited Favor of God: approval, goodwill, kindness, acceptance
o2 Peter 3:18 AMP -But grow in grace (undeserved favor, spiritual strength) and recognition and knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (the Messiah). To Him [be] glory (honor, majesty, and splendor) both now and to the day of eternity. Amen (so be it
A. What grace is and what grace is not:
1. Grace is not a license to sin (, ).
As born-again Christians, we have received the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness. We rule and reign in life ().We have been called to freedom; however we should not allow our freedom to be an incentive to the flesh. The flesh is a way of thinking that goes against God (AMP).Sin has no dominion over us; we are no longer under the Law, but under grace (, , ).The grace of God teaches us to deny ungodliness (, ).We should not go half way, but go all the way, in servitude to righteousness where there is safety (, ).

2. Grace is not a license to become lazy. The phrase resting in God does not describe inactivity.  Resting in God describes our determination to trust God while working hard. When we are doing what God has graced us to do, we want to labor even more ().God is at work in us, giving us the desire to do what He has called us to do (, ).
3. Grace is not an encouragement to settle for miserable circumstances. God will strengthen us in bad situations and circumstances, but He also gives us the grace to improve our circumstances. He is able to make all grace, every favor, and earthly blessing come to us in abundance (AMP). There is a grace to help us succeed and remain victorious no matter what we face.
4. Grace is not cheap. Just because something is free doesn’t mean it’s cheap.Grace and righteousness are free to us, but they were purchased at a very high price—the precious blood of Jesus.

•Faith- trusting in something you cannot clearly prove. “Confidence or trust, belief not based on proof, a standard of merit
oRomans 1:17 ESV-For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
You must learn to receive by faith, through confidence, in what was accomplished by Jesus on the cross. Jesus said “IT IS Finished” () Do you believe it? Is your faith or confidence in what Jesus did on the cross or is it in yourself and what you can do. Where is Your Faith? Is it in God or is it in your works, your righteousness. Salvation, healing and deliverance is not something that God is going to do. We are not waiting on some futurist act. Jesus has already done it. Our focus has to be on Jesus’s accomplishment (grace) on the cross.
We are to look back to the Cross. Its was at the cross where he bore all our sickness and disease. It was at the cross where I first saw the light. Its at the cross where the burdens of my heart are rolled away. Its at the cross where by faith I took my sight. And now i am happy all the day.
Marta Illustration
Marta the authority
Bus schedule Its word) says bus will arrive at 0630
You show up for the bus at 0600
And you wait
The bus shows up
You step on the bus and pay the cost
My wife told me that if you have ever road Marta hardly ever the bus is on time but
Your faith is in the authority and what its word said and because of that you are willing to pay the cost.
Faith is anticipation (in the expectation of, in preparation for, ready for), No anxiety (worry, concern, apprehension, apprehensiveness, uneasiness, unease, fearfulness, fear, disquiet, disquietude, inquietude, perturbation, agitation, angst, misgiving, nervousness, nerves, tension, tenseness, heebie-jeebies, butterflies (in one's stomach), jitteriness, the jitters, twitchiness)
God –the authority
Word –exalted above his name(psalm 138:2)
Jesus has already paid the cost for your healing
Stop thinking that faith is something you do and sooner or later God is going to respond and grant you healing, salvation or deliverance. This is not bible faith. You must believe that Jesus has already done it. Then “by faith” reach over into the spirit realm and take what Jesus has already provided.
What were the things that Jesus Took in order for you to Take your healing?
Jesus bore my sins in his body on the tree. He bore my sickness [nosos/diseases]. He took my infirmities [astheneia], my weakness, my symptoms caused by disease. I being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness, and with his stripes, I was healed at Calvary [, , , ]. Jesus Christ, was wounded [chalal] profaned, defiled, polluted, desecrated, for my transgression and rebellion. He was bruised [daka'], crushed, for my iniquities, perverseness, depravity, and guilt. He took my chastisement. My chastisement [muwcar], discipline, chastening, correction needful to obtain my peace and well-being was upon Him. This peace [shä·lome'] has given me completeness in number, soundness in body, welfare, health, safety, and prosperity. And with the stripes that wounded Him, I am healed and made whole [, AMP, ].

2. You must choose to Believe
2. You must choose to Believe
KJV-Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
ESV-Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen
Assurance: a positive declaration intended to give confidence; a promise: word of honor, word, promise, pledge, vow, avowal, oath, bond, undertaking, guarantee, commitment
Conviction: a firmly held belief, opinion, view, thought, persuasion, idea, position, stance, article of faith
•Faith does not come by Chance. Faith is a choice. ()
- AMP -For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance
Chance-a possibility of something happening
Walk down the street and get hit in the head with some faith.
You not going to receive a letter in the Mailbox – you have been endowed with faith
choice-an act of selecting or making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities:
•Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”
( KJV- Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed
THE HALL OF FAITH
By Faith Chapter
The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It's our handle on what we can't see
I can’t see the air but that don’t stop me from breathing in.
3. You must Confess Gods word
•Believing and Confessing Gods word is a Command
() Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation
Nothing is more powerful or right on time in activating the Lords protection, activating the Lords healing power than when you cry out in faith and speak the God’s breathed words of protection and healing.
There is a great importance of speaking or declaring the blessings we already have in Christ. Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever. God is always supplying grace, health, protection, deliverance, and whatever you need in life because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
You can’t just believe in your heart and not confess with mouth
Or
Confess with your mouth and not believe in your heart
Perhaps you are suffering a sickness that doctors say you have to be on long-term medication for and your heart’s desire is to be healed. Or maybe you have a debt ( that is causing mental and emotional strain) that you need to pay off. These are needs that God has taken care of through Jesus’ perfect work at the cross.
So instead of talking about how bad the situation is, start speaking life into your situation. Say, “Sickness, be plucked out by your roots and be gone from my body in Jesus’ name! By Jesus’ stripes I am healed!” Instead of worrying about your debt, say, “I call my debt supernaturally cancelled in Jesus’ name. My God supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory!” If you want to see good days, then keep your tongue from speaking unbelief, and release the power and life of the Lord through your mouth into your situation!
You must follow the directions that God has prescribe for you in his word.
( AMP) My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings.
Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart.
For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh
What are Gods directions?
Speak the word. God's Word has the directions for your cure. When You follow the directions of the medication that God has prescribe to you, then there will be life and health for your body. The directions given in , tell us to pay attention to what God says. Listen carefully to his words. Don't lose sight of his words. Let his Words penetrate deep into your heart. Because his Words brings life to you and healing to all your body.
Donald Lawrence
May have some Scars -I am healed
Circumstance – I’m still healed
Disappointments – I am healed
In , the Hebrew word for health is מרפא marpe'. Thayer's Lexicon defines marpe' as "health, healing, cure". Strong's Lexicon defines marpe' as a curative, a cure, literally a medicine. The tongue of the wise is health (marpe') []. A wholesome (marpe') tongue is a tree of life [].
You honor God as the great physician by taking His medicine, the Word of God. You continue to spend time meditating on God's Word and renewing your mind []. But you must take His healing word in your mouth and speak it, because faith has something to say []. You must be diligent to take your prescription daily or more frequently till you receive your cure. You must not neglect His healing prescription for you.
4 You must use your God given authority.
•Its not enough to think with the mind, you must speak with your mouth.
()
22.And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23.For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24.Therefore, I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them
•When we are faced with a huge problem, such as a chronic illness or heavy financial debt, our natural tendency is to talk about the problem or “mountain”. God, however, wants us to speak to the mountain and not about the mountain. So instead of complaining about your problem to others and even to God, speak to your mountain! Use your God-given authority in Christ and command the problem to go! Your God given authority has been placed in your mouth
•Jesus Himself said, “…whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” () Notice how the word “says” appears three times whereas “believes” only appears once. Our Lord is telling us that while believing is important, speaking is even more important! So start speaking to your mountain!
Example
Moses
When Moses cried out to God because of the advancing Egyptian army—the Israelites were about to be slaughtered—God said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it.” () God was telling Moses to use His God-given authority, which the rod was a symbol of. That’s how Moses parted the Red Sea and made a way of escape for the Israelites when there was none.
•My friend, God has made it easy for you to receive your breakthrough. All you have to do is believe that His life is constantly available to you, speak what you believe about His Word and believe what you speak. There’s no need to put yourself through all kinds of “acts of faith” to receive the miracle you need. Speaking itself is putting action to your faith. In the new covenant, all that’s left for you to do is to believe and speak. All that’s needed is your confession made in faith. ()
Jesus Christ wants you whole spiritually, mentally and physically. He suffered to provide atonement, propitiation, reconciliation, ransom, and redemption for our sins. He bruised, wounded, and took the chastisement needed to obtain your peace and by his stripes we are healed!
