David acted in faith
He came to battle against Goliath
The stone was thrown
Goliath fell to the ground
But there was more
The victory was not finished
All the other soldiers saw that Goliath fell
But there was more.
But they did not see that he was dead for sure
David had to show them God’s victory
He should cut off Goliath’s head
But he didn’t have a sword!
He needed to take Goliath’s sword [Goliathko tarawaar lineko] Daaudlaai kaancho thiyo
He had to come close to this big strong warrior(yoddhaa)
This was a scary thing for David!
Many of us would say: “My work is done”
I acted in faith
I prepared
I came to battle
I threw the stone
Goliath is on the ground
That is enough
But there was another step of faith
There was more work for David
He should show Goliath’s death
To the enemy
To his own people
This is like the christian life
Our new life in Christ begins with a big step of faith
Putting our trust and faith in Christ
But this is just the first step!
This is not the end
The battle is not over
God’s will is not for us to stop.
17 Kinaki yasaimaa biswaas-dekhi biswaas-samma Parameswarko dharmikataa prakaT bhaeko chha, jasari lekhieko chha: ‘Dharmi jana biswaas-duaaraa jiunechha.’
We should live by faith!
Not just one step - many steps
Every day, every hour, every minute
God wants us to continually(nirantar) grow in faith
Grow in Christ
6 Ra yas kuraamaa ma nischit chhu - jasle timiharumaa euTaa asal kaam suru garnubhaeko chha, uhaale Yeshu KhrishTko din-samma tyo puraa garnu-hunechha.
Yes, our salvation requires faith
But every day requires faith
Faith for obedience
Faith for having the right attitude and spirit
Faith for work
Faith for sharing the gospel
Faith for prayer
Faith for spending money
7 Kinaki haami rupa dekhera hoina, tara biswaas-duaaraa hi’dchhaau.
When our faith grows weak, we fall
Disobedience comes by lack of faith
Sin comes by lack of faith
Anger comes by lack of faith
Bitterness, greed
It all starts with a lack of faith
So how do we increase our faith?
Yaskaaran biswaas sunaai-duaaraa aau’chha, ra sunaai-chaahi’ Parameswarko bachan-duaaraa.
Simple - read God’s word
Every day
Walk in it
Swim in it
Be baptized in it
Let it be always in your mind
Your faith will grow.
We are in a spiritual battle
We are fighting against sin and the devil every day
We cannot stop fighting
We should live by faith continuously!
