SIGNS
SET UP ROAD SIGNS; PUT UP GUIDE POST.
TAKE NOTE OF THE HIGHWAY THAT YOU TAKE.
INTRODUCTION
Open with song: Life is a highway
While the song is going on have the construction crew setting up the road signs in front stage.
Push the car out on stage: (question for cody could we hang that stretch screen up on the side so that we could use a projector for the stoplight)
Scene 3 starts: end of scene 3 black out and turn spotlight on Pastor Jerry
How many of you have taken a road trip with your kids?
Many people would rather go through the tribulation period than take a road trip with their kids.
You start out with all these wonderful plans, you just love those little darlings in the back seat, but by the time you get to Alma, you want to sell them to the gypsies.
They come up with all these little things like daddy, she is on my side of the car.
So if you are like me, you will have this bright idea and so you will tell we are going to draw an imaginary line and you can seat over here and you can seat over there.
But by the time you get to Fayetteville you are saying kids if you say one more word I am going to pull this car over and beat both of you.
And you are so upset that now you don’t even feel save because you are thinking about dropping them off at the near bus stop.
But you keep telling yourself that this is going to be a wonderful trip.
But then here it start again, Daddy I got to go to the potty and are we there yet.
But the truth is I like road trip, they can be such a wonderful time.
But on that trip just like in life we have some stop lights.
And you know everyone like the “GO” light.
We can put up with the “Yellow” light because it says, wait, be careful.
But there is something about the “Red” light, which says stop or No.
But God says you are to be still and Know that I am God.
BE STILL, AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD: I WILL BE EXALTED AMONG THE HEATHEN, I WILL BE EXALTED IN THE EARTH.
You see, the quality things in life are when you slow down, when you smell the flowers, and when you enjoy what God has given you.
Look at your family and vacations days and without a doubt, they are the highlights of our life.
But now listen to me, there are signs like load limit, that the Bible clearly tells us that we have a stress level in our life we have just so much that we can bear.
Doctors have proven that everyone has a load limit.
The Bible said that Apostle Paul was extraordinary, because listen this he was stoned, put as sundered, he was beaten, he was shipwrecked.
But Apostle Paul said this:
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Apostle Paul really had a high stress level, but really God know how much we can handled.
Jesus said this:
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
So this morning the big question is how big is your load?, Do you have a load?
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Some of you are carrying the load of sin.
Which is a very heavy load to be carrying.
listen to this:
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
you see, the needle was a little hole in the wall of the protected city, and the camel could just barely get through it and the camel actually had to get on it knees and crawl thru.
The camel had to leave everything else behind to get under the protection of this city.
Too big of a load, you got to leave the load outside.
You see, the baggage that you are carrying because of sin is weighting you down.
you need to look at the sign, load limit
You need to obey the sign, that says Load Limit.

Scene 9

Intersection, life is full of intersections or crossroads.
We are all faced with decisions in life, times where we have to make choices about which way to go and what to pursue.
Some are everyday decisions, like what shoes should i wear, what should i have for lunch?
others are life changing decisions such as who should i marry, what career should i pursue, should i be truthful on my taxes?
These can affect the direction of our lives.
This is what the LORD says: "Stop at the crossroads and look around.
Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it.
Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls.
But you reply, 'No, that's not the road we want!'
often times we can’t see the dangers of what is at those crossroads.
You have heard of the endless stories of how fame can destroy people from Elvis to Lindsey Lohan.
The celebrity lifestyle of sex, drugs and rock and roll seems like a good road to take in the beginning.
But as the Bible says,
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
But fro all the stories that end in destruction, there are many who have made the right choices.
This next next young lady has been attend our church for a while but her story is amazing.

Black out
We talk a minute ago about intersections, this morning is an intersection.
You may feel like something or someone is warning you of choices you are making or will make that will destroy you.
That tugging you feeling is God’s presence, the Holy Spirit.
The Bible refers to it as a still, small voice.
Now as you feel that, you have a choice to yield to Him or turn Him away.
Sometimes we are so confident that we can do it ourselves.
For we who worship by the Spirit of God are the ones who are truly circumcised.
We rely on what Christ Jesus has done for us.
We put no confidence in human effort,
We have thru out the years since people who have put the confidence in themselves, I can do this, I got this and people fall on their faces, lose everything.
These things happened to them as examples for us.
They were written down to warn us who live at the end of the age.
If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall.
These are all warning Markers, danger in our history books, written down so that we don’t repeat their mistakes.
