C. His sanctifying ministry
1.) Scripture associates the Holy Spirit as the entity of sanctification – He matures/transforms us (1 Peter 1:2; 2 Thess.
2:13)
2.) The Holy Spirit produces Christ-likeness in our lives.
(Gal.
5:22-23; 2 Cor.
3:18)
The fruit of the Spirit is not self produced!
Paul further teaches in 2 Cor.
3:18 that sanctification is an ongoing reality.

1.) Prayer (Rom.

The HS helps us in our weaknesses – particularly in our prayers.
We don’t know how to pray according to God’s will.

It is His will what gifts you have
We are to use them for the benefit of the church
There may be benefit for self, but that is never the primary reason we have it.
