Seven Decisions that will shape your direction

Decision #1: START

Introduction:

Small Choices make the difference!

Lesson:

Lesson

Start where you are! (Phil. 3)

Philippians 3:13–15 KJV 1900
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
i)

Two of the biggest mistakes you can make in life is not STARTING and not FINISHING.

You cannot go back. (Phil. 3)

Forget your past, but remember the lessons.

i) Forget those things which are behind

Work on the small things. (Zec. 4:10)

Zechariah 4:10 KJV 1900
10 For who hath despised the day of small things? For they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; They are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

The small things add up to big things. If we want the big, we need to start with the small

iii) We want the big, we need to start with the small

Good habits build momentum.

There is no such thing as overnight success. (Dan. 6:4-5)

Daniel 6:4–5 KJV 1900
4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. 5 Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

He was not an overnight success – it took years of right decisions.

Conclusion:

What can you start today?
