Body Works: Nobody’s Nobody

Nobody’s Nobody

It was over a month ago that I began this series on Body Works
This series is intended to bring everyone on board according to the the Mission of this Church
Previously I’ve shared with you my dreams
What I feel this Church is called by God to accomplish for His glory
Specifically, that we as a Church will bring in over 100 million people into the Kingdom in the next 20 years
Admittedly on the surface that sounds impossible.
But I have shown that it everyone does their part, it is very much doable
But whether we succeed or we fail comes down to everyone doing what they are called to do.
I am fully aware, that many of you may not even know what part you are to play.
But don’t worry, God will reveal it, and you will be fully satisfied!
So to remind you the foundation of everything this builds on:
We have the great Commandment Mark 12:29-31
Mark 12:29–31 NASB95
Jesus answered, “The foremost is, ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ “The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12:29-31
We also have what the Great command will lead us to do
The Great Commission Matthew 28:18-20
Matthew 28:18–20 NASB95
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 29:18-20
So to sum up our Vision for Kingdom Way
The Kingdom Way is to Love God, Love people & Make Disciples
say that with me!
We need all 3 to be successful
If you Love God, but not people, you won’t make disciples
If you Love people, but not God, well your in a mess
If you try to make disciples without loving God or people you will fail
It begins and ends with Love,
Love is a verb, an action word
Loving God, should cause you to Love people which should open the door for you to Make Disciples
If we do this, we will reach our goal!
Kingdom Way will bring 100 million souls into the Kingdom!
Our Motivation & Method is Love; Our Mission is to Make disciples
I want to thank everyone who invited people our Resurrection weekend,
We had so many visitors and God touched many people!
ill. Kenna invited a family the man’s knee was healed during the message, He then came up to receive the gift of healings. He then told Kenna He just realized as a nurse in Winnipeg, he can pray for people to be healed.
That really shows me How God is going to do this,
People will be touched through the efforts of this Church and carry back to their homes!
We have a Great mission before us, but we are not alone in accomplishing it
Holy Spirit desires to partner with us to see the commission come about
Its no secret that my desire is to train up the people of Kingdom Way to operate in their spiritual giftings.
I believe the only way for us to be successful is to fully embrace all Holy Spirit has for us
For this to occur everyone must fulfil their part
Ephesians 4:10-12
Ephesians 4:12 NASB95
for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;
Ephesians 4:10–12 NASB95
He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.) And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;
...for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;
Who are the saints?
Say it! I am a saint
Look at your neighbour say You are a Saint!
So that everyone is clear.
Its (your name) job to do ministry, Its my Pastors job to train me how!
in the past the church has really got this mixed up.
We have said things like. when someone becomes a Pastor “that they entered the ministry”
Yes as Pastor’s we fulfill a need, Our primary is to train up people to meet the real needs
We have said things like. when someone becomes a Pastor “that they entered the ministry”
We even call Pastors “ministers”
There are churches out there that hire another pastor every time another need arises.
You don’t hire a pastor to do what you are called to do!
You hire one to train you how to do it yourself!
Yes as Pastor’s we fulfill a need, Our primary is to train up people to meet the real needs
The fundamental truth is:
That every believer is called to the ministry
So let’s get into our message today
Nobody’s Nobody!
The Church is described as a number of things in the Bible: a Family, a Body, a Bride, a temple and a lampstand
a Family, a Body, a Bride, a temple and a lampstand
One thing it’s never described as, is a business or company
Why? We’re not selling anything. in fact what we have were supposed to give it away.
That’s not a very sound business decision
Let’s take a look at the church described of as a body
let’s watch this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YA5Rj7YcN-I
1 Corinthians 12:12–26 NASB95
For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot says, “Because I am not a hand, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body. And if the ear says, “Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired. If they were all one member, where would the body be? But now there are many members, but one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; or again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” On the contrary, it is much truer that the members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary; and those members of the body which we deem less honorable, on these we bestow more abundant honor, and our less presentable members become much more presentable, whereas our more presentable members have no need of it. But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that member which lacked, so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
Say this with me!
I am important!
I am vital to the success of the mission of my church
Everyone has a different role
but every role is important, and its key that you learn your role and begin to walk in it!
but every role is important
No-one can say to anyone else your not important, we don’t need you!
a Family, a Body, a Bride, a temple and a lampstand
One thing it’s never described as, is a business or company
.....
.....
Why? We’re not selling anything. in fact what we have were supposed to give it away.
And let me be clear, this may sound strange
And let me be clear, this may sound strange
As a Pastor, I am no more important than anyone else.
That’s not a very sound business decision
I do play a different role than everyone of you, It is obviously different,
I do carry a heavier load, as I am one day going to be called to account for how I served the people of this church
but that does not mean I am more important.
I do carry a heavier load, but that does not mean I am more important.
let’s take a look at how leadership is view in the Bible
How am I to treat my Leadership?
1 Timothy 5:17 NASB95
The elders who rule well are to be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching.
Hebrews 13:17
Hebrews 13:17 NASB95
Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:12-13
1 Thessalonians 5:12–13 NASB95
But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction, and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another.
1 Thes 5:
How Am I to treat my fellow members?
John 13:34-35
John 13:34–35 NASB95
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
So you know how you are to treat your leadership.
Matthew 7:12
Matthew 7:12 NASB95
“In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Romans 12:10
Romans 12:10 NASB95
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;
Philippians 2:3 NASB95
Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;
Ask yourself this question.
Where do I fit in at Kingdom Way?
Maybe your role is in an existing ministry?
List ministry Opportunities
.....
.....
Maybe God is calling you to start a new exploit for His Kingdom
One of the things I want to create in this church is a group of dreamers and a group of builders
some of you are dreamers. you like the abstract
others are more practical, you like to work with your hands
I want to create a Dream team, who simple dreams about what God wants to do here at Kingdom way. No restriction, no obstacles.
Just dreaming with Holy Spirit
I also want to create a team of builders, people who recognise the dreamers and begins to think....How do we make this a reality!
How do we recruit the people, How do we raise the required funds
The builders turn dreams into reality!
You see, I’m not content with the status quo.
I want us to grow into every promise the Father holds for us
For this to take place, we need every one of you doing their part.
Are you with me?
Let’s pray!
