There are no hoops today, it doesen’t matter if you think you know Jesus or if you don’t Jesus died for our pride.
Before I accepted Christ and his salvation as my free gift, I was prideful and away from God, this separates me from his pressence.
It wasn’t until i fully surrendered to God that i was able to experience the forgiveness of sins.

sin
The Greek biblical word for sin, "amartia", means literally "to miss the mark", like an archer.
Sin is not necessarily defined by moral wrongness, by transgressing some set of rules, but is instead doing anything that takes our focus off God (the target), onto ourselves, thinking we are the be-all-and-end-all.
"Sin is nothing else than to neglect eternal things, and seek after temporal things" -- St. Augustine

Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
I want to thank you for sending your son Jesus to die for me and take away my sin.
Today I ask that you forgive me of my sin, shame, wrong doing and the messiness of my life.
Please cleanse me through your sacrifice as you shed your blood, was whipped and tortured and died for me so that I may have life eternal.
I give my life over to you right now and put you at the judgement seat of my life, I no longer want to sit in judgement but ask that you be the Lord and Saviour of my Life.
I repent and trust in you today and surrender my life to you.
My life is in you hands.
I thank you for your love.
I thank you for your forgiving power.
I confess you as Lord of my life
And believe in my heart that you raised Jesus from the dead
and I promise to follow you all the days of my life.
In Jesus name Amen,
