Introduction

Are you facing troubled times in your life right now? Are the clouds of doubt, fear, and uncertainty gathering over the horizon of your existence? Are you troubled about your situation, your marriage, your addiction, your lack of spiritual victory, or the nagging emptiness that haunts your soul? Does the inevitable prospect of death and eternity fill you with dread? Fear not, you are in the right place. This morning you are about to hear a life changing message of hope.
The disciples had spent three years with the one they called the Messiah. They had watched Him heal the sick, preach with power, and raise the dead. They dared to believe that He was the promised King, the Redeemer sent from God. Yet they did not understand what that would entail. Jesus had been slowly preparing them for what He knew must happen… but they were still shocked and taken by surprise. They watched in horror as their savior was beaten, tried, convicted, and crucified. I am sure they expected to see some kind of fiery deliverance…or rescue from on high… but nothing came. The Romans and Jews that hated them were soon to come for the rest of them… fear surrounded them on every side.
Mary and Mary came to the graveside that Easter morning. They saw an empty tomb and grew even more afraid, that is until the angel met them with the life changing truth. “Fear not, for I know ye seek Jesus”.
You may or may not know it, but you are hear because there is a part of you that seeks Jesus. There is a part of you that longs for peace with God. There is a part of you that yearns for love and purpose. If you seek and find the Savior today, I have the same message for you in spite of all you are going through… Fear Not!!

You Seek Jesus Which Was Crucified.

That was foretold in the Old Testament.
Isaiah 53:3–11 KJV 1900
He is despised and rejected of men; A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: And we hid as it were our faces from him; He was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, And carried our sorrows: Yet we did esteem him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: The chastisement of our peace was upon him; And with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned every one to his own way; And the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, Yet he opened not his mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, So he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: And who shall declare his generation? For he was cut off out of the land of the living: For the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, And with the rich in his death; Because he had done no violence, Neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: When thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, He shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: By his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; For he shall bear their iniquities.
Isaiah 53:3–7 KJV 1900
It was voluntary
John 10:17–18 KJV 1900
Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
It was vicarious
2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV 1900
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
2 Ch
Romans 5:8 KJV 1900
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

You Seek Jesus Who Is Risen

The Resurrection is part of the Gospel Story
1 Corinthians 15:3–5 KJV 1900
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
The Resurrection is essential to Salvation
1 Corinthians 15:17–19 KJV 1900
And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
1 cor 5: 17-19
John 20:16–17 KJV 1900
Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master. Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
Hebrews 9:11–12 KJV 1900
But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Hebrews 9:24 KJV 1900
For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
Hebrews 9:24–25 KJV 1900
For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
