Significance of the Resurrection
Introduction:
In the busyness, how do we find meaning in the celebration of Easter?
Joella talking with her boss – Easter becoming a family day.
It is so much more than a family day.
It is the family celebrating the resurrection of Jesus.
We are surrounded by symbolism.

· Dying of the eggs red represents his shed blood of the cross.
· If you have ever done an egg roll it is representative of the stone being rolled away.
· Egg hunt symbolize the seeking Christ.

· Represents the abundant life found in Christ through the resurrection.

We are chained by our –

§ Our gossip
§ Anything that breaks our relationship with God without the resurrection has a chained and imprisoned us.
We have no hope.
If this world is all there is chained in our sin.
o First fruits mean Jesus was first.
He is the first to rise from the dead never to die again.
His is Alive!

The veil tore before you
You silence the boast of sin and grave

The praise of Your glory

o Adam’s sin brought sin and death with it chains
o Jesus’ resurrection brought life and that life more abundantly.

o He sets us free from sin and death promising us glorified resurrected bodies.

o He empowers us to live in his calling ()
o Today say yes to Jesus finding hope for this life and the next.
o You can have purpose for the present and hope for the future.
o The power of the resurrection is there for those who will confess with their mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in their heart that God raised him for the dead.
o Salvation is at hand will you receive it
