When you open a score to a pieace of music.
You will will sometimes find some notes from the composer.
He will talk about what they were thinking when the composed the music.
They will talk about instrumentation.
If a pieace of music is dedicated to someone or has been compissioned my someone they will mention that.
In the heading of my Bible we find some of these notes written in.
it tells me that David wrote this Psalm.
And that this Psalm was meant to be done with stringed instruments
As this psalm would have been sung by the the choir it would have had this stringed orchestra behind it.
In most orchestra pieces you have different movements.
This would have been the second movement maybe.
This an educated guess.
is closly related to .
You can see this by David opening Statement in verse 1
David starts off this psalm with calling out to God and begging him to answer him when he calls.
Have you every called out to God and felt like he was not answering you and you wanted to say to God Answer me when I call.
God does not listen or answer every prayer.
Resource for this is John Macaurther.
First, God does not answer the person with selfish or personal motives
Second, those who have iniquity (immoral behavior and grossly unfair behavior) sin in there heart God does not listen.
Because God is holy
Third, Those who remain in sin.
Fourth, those that forsake God
Jeremiah 14
Fifth, Those reject God call
,
Sixth those who will not listen to Gods law
Seventh, those that turn a deaf ear to the cry of the poor
Eighth, Those who are violent
Is
Ninth, those who worship idols
Ezekiel
Tenth, those who don’t have faith
Eleventh, Who are living in hypocrisy
Twelveth, those that are proud of heart
Thirteeth the self righteous
Fourteeth, Those who mistreat Gods people
Micah
Fifteeth, those who offer unworthy service to God
Sometimes when we call on the Lord, who is righteous in every way he will not answer you.
Malachi 6:1-8
Psalm
Now in this psalm we see in verse 1 that he did answer David.
And when God answers our prayers he answers them in 3 ways.
So the question may be asked does God answer the prayers of unbelivers.
Depends on the the circumstance.
Yes,
No
Later
And each time he answers us it is a perfect answers.
For God is all knowning, all powerful, and all wise
