EXPOSITION

Paul stated that he wished the people of Ephesus realized truly what they had been given.
Ephesians 1:17–19 CSB
I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what is the wealth of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the mighty working of his strength.
Ephesians 1:17-

1. Jesus died so we would live with him.

EXP:

APP: We were dead spiritually, but have now been made alive.

2. Jesus humbled himself so we would be raised with him.

EXP:

APP: We have been raised from death to life, but also raised to position of coheirs with Christ.

3. Jesus left his seat so we would be seated with him.

APP: Our salvation and eternal life are guaranteed. We will be with him in heaven.

4. Jesus did his work so we would do good works.

APP: Our response to what Jesus has done for us.

CONCLUSION

When we see how much Jesus loves us, we cannot help to be amazed and love him in return.

Thank the Lord for what he has done for you
Submit yourself to him- serving, sharing the good news, etc.
