Lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

There is a lot of people in the body of Christ that are tired, weary of the fight, training, waiting, some are discouraged.

1 Corinthians 9: 24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 27 No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. NIV

n  Running in the race is not the goal! Winning the PRIZE is!
Mastery: agonizomai-
1) to enter a contest: to contend in the gymnastic games
2) to contend with adversaries, to fight

3) metaphorically, to contend, to struggle with difficulties and dangers
4) to endeavor with strenuous zeal, strive: to obtain something

Do we have the dedication to Win?

2 Tim 2:3-5

3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him

(or win the war) who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

(or according to the rules) Some of us still want to do it our way, we bend the rules or totally ignore them, thinking the goal is to play the game.

Mark 4:17

17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

Matt 10:22

22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. (Matt 24:13)

Heb 12:2-3,7

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

Looking unto Jesus, consider Him, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds
a.         As an example of one who followed his fathers words and wanted God´s will first

faint in your minds( that´s the battle ground)
a.         Lies will make you faint, the truth will set you free.

for the joy that was set before him (Rom 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;)

Rom 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

endure chastening (instruction, training, correction)
a.         God trains us with his word, not sickness or problems
2 Tim 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:(Pr.5:12-13)

b.   But God allowed it! yeah that´s true, but he allows everything that we want to do!
c.         Training is not from the devil, some people call work an attack from the enemy, some call hardship, not the will of God.

Luke 4:1-2a

1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

2 Being forty days tempted(tested) of the devil.....

v:14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.

James 1:12-19

12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation:(to do evil things) for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

13 Let no man say when he is tempted,(to do evil) I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

1 Cor 10:13

13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

God is the escape maker, not the tempter

Gal 6:9

9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't get discouraged and give up. (TLB)
