Giving the reverence and respect to God which is his due. All God’s people have a duty to honour him in every aspect of their lives, while unbelievers and even animals can also honour him.
Lk 6:30-
Manser, M. H. (2009). Dictionary of Bible Themes: The Accessible and Comprehensive Tool for Topical Studies. London: Martin Manser.
Luke 6:30–38 GW
Give to everyone who asks you for something. If someone takes what is yours, don’t insist on getting it back. “Do for other people everything you want them to do for you. “If you love those who love you, do you deserve any thanks for that? Even sinners love those who love them. If you help those who help you, do you deserve any thanks for that? Sinners do that too. If you lend anything to those from whom you expect to get something back, do you deserve any thanks for that? Sinners also lend to sinners to get back what they lend. Rather, love your enemies, help them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then you will have a great reward. You will be the children of the Most High God. After all, he is kind to unthankful and evil people. Be merciful as your Father is merciful. “Stop judging, and you will never be judged. Stop condemning, and you will never be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and you will receive. A large quantity, pressed together, shaken down, and running over will be put into your pocket. The standards you use for others will be applied to you.”
Matthew 7:12 The Message
“Here is a simple, rule-of-thumb guide for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you, then grab the initiative and do it for them. Add up God’s Law and Prophets and this is what you get.
Honor God In your giving (whoever asks give, who ever takes away don’t ask them back....
The same way you want people to respect you, is the same way to respect them..
Loving those you love isn’t a hard thing, sinners love who love them, if you do good to those who do good to you, that ain’t nothing either because sinners do the same thing, lending to folk who always pay you back (what credit is that to you)even sinners lend to sinners to receive much back..
Love Your enemies, do good and lend, hoping for nothing in return, and your reward will be great & you will be sons and daughters of the most high God..( HE is kind to the unthankful and Evil )
and daughters of the most high God..( HE is kind to the unthankful and Evil )
be merciful, just as your father also is merciful
Judge not, and you shall not be judged
condemn not, and you shall not be condemn
forgive, and you shall be forgiven
Give, and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will he put into your bosom.
for the same measure that you use, it will be measure back to you..
