Expository Preaching/Teaching

How Do We Water down the word of God

An expository sermon is a sermon that says what God says. That is to say, we look at the biblical text, and we take information from the text that is true to the text, and we apply it to our lives and the lives of God’s people. In fact, by its very definition, an expository sermon seeks to say what God says. We identify what is in the text, we explain its meaning, and then we apply it to the lives of God’s people.
