v. 8 In spite of our sins, God extends Himself to us in mercy.

Application:
Jesus knows you and where you are and doesn’t treat you according to your sin.
Even knowing who you are, He still extends His steadfast love.
Praise the Lord that He alone (not your obedience) sustains you as you seek to follow His commands.

v. 15-16 Man’s time on earth is temporary.
We are born in the morning and wither in the evening.

His love and righteousness have been consistently extended to every generation.
Obedience to His commands is fruit (by-product) that shows evidence of belief.

The sign of belonging to God is love with action.
