A Precious Life is Given

Gen. 2:7 (NIV)

7the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

 

Introduction:

I.         Recognize Each Life as Given by God.

Acts 17:24 through Acts 17:25 (NIV)

24“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. 25And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.

A.      God Alone Gives The Start to Life

B.      God Alone Gives Sustenance for Life

C.      God Alone Gives Significance to Life

II.       Respect Everyone’s Life As Guarded by God.

Gen. 9:5 through Gen. 9:6 (NIV)

5And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each man, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of his fellow man.

6          “Whoever sheds the blood of man,

        by man shall his blood be shed;

        for in the image of God

        has God made man.

A.      Gaurded Without Exception

B.      Gaurded With Accountability

C.      Gurded For its Face Value

III.     Receive Eternal Life as Granted by God.

John 3:16 through John 3:18 (NIV)

16“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

B.      Obtained at Awful Expense

C.      Obtained by Accepting Faith
