Who are you?

It has been said by many people that there is a begin date and expiration date to all of our lives, but what is most important is what takes place between those dates.

Who is the John the Baptist?

Son of a Priest (Zechariah, Elizabeth)

Born with the Holy Spirit (Separated and called for a purpose by Birth)

Cousin of Jesus (through Mary & Elizabeth)

For runner and baptizer of the Lord Jesus Christ

He was eventually placed in prison and killed for his message of righteousness

The Great Questioning

The world and even the religious elite may question your calling.

When you are looking for what is wrong, you often cannot see what is right, even if it is right in front of your face.

The Carnal person always looks for things in a natural manifestation (the physical).

Spiritual people see the move of God and can hear from voice God regardless the outward appearance, they can hear Gods voice if it comes from a donkey!

Your belief in God and what he is doing or saying cannot be principally based on some other persons beliefs, it has to be based on if it agrees with scripture.

The humility of your testimony isn’t based on how others feel about you, it is based on the honor you give to God.

Humility vs Arrogance

Seeing what God has done in your life is the fruit of your testimony

Will lead you to say he (Jesus) is the Son of God

Big Idea

The witness of a true believer is intimately connected with their spiritual birth, their life of holiness and selfless Christian service, their rejection by the world and religious elite and most importantly their confession that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God.
