Introduction
Jesus was concerned about individuals.
He preached to great crowds, but His message was always to the individual; and He took time to help people personally.
His purpose was to transform them and then send them out to share His message of forgiveness with others.
Luke describes in this chapter our Lord’s meetings with four individuals and the changes they experienced because they trusted Him.
HEALING THE HEART ONE SOUL AT A TIME
`It is possible that at least seven of the disciples were fishermen ().
Consider the fact that fishermen generally have the qualities that make for success in serving the Lord.
It takes courage and daring, patience and determination to work on the seas;
and it also takes a great deal of faith.
Fishermen must be willing to work together (they used nets, not hooks) and help one another.
They must develop the skills necessary to get the job done quickly and efficiently.

The Divine Command (v4)

The Divine Catch (v6-7)
Conclusion
FINAL POINT - JESUS LOOKED AROUND AND SAW SIMON’S BOAT AND GOT IN.
SIMON HAD A NEED BUT DIDNT KNOW HOW TO ACCESS A SUPPLY.
Simon had a problem but the Problem Solver was right there in the boat
Jesus is so big that while He’s teaching a crowd, He’s calling fish to supply a need
WHEN WE’RE TOO CAUGHT UP TO COME TO HIM , HE LOVES US SO MUCH THAT HE’LL COME TO US
He speaks to Abraham and says ‘stay thy han’
He speaks to Moses from a burning bush and calls him to liberate a nation
He speaks to Saul onthe Damscus road and changes him from persecutor to a pursuer,
Blessing flow to those who have Jesus in the boat!
