WHAT TIME IS IT?

Mark 13:35–36 KJV 1900
Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
Evangelistic Sermon Outlines 29. What Time Is It? (Mark 13:35–36)

We are living in sinful times. As we get nearer to the coming of Jesus, the world will become worse. Satan knows this, and seeks to put man to sleep as to what is happening. Notice the dangers of sleeping.

We are living in sinful times. As we get nearer to the coming of Jesus, the world will become worse. Satan knows this, and seeks to put man to sleep as to what is happening. Notice the dangers of sleeping.
Samson went to sleep and lost his hair, strength, and eyes. He also was made a slave.
Jonah was asleep when there was a terrible storm.
The five foolish virgins went to sleep and found the door to the wedding closed.
As Christians we must always stay awake, and if we are not we need to wake up.

TIME TO BE AWAKE

Signs Of Our Time

SIGNS OF OUR TIME

2 Timothy 4:3–4 KJV 1900
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
2 Timothy 4:
Matthew 24:6 KJV 1900
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
We are living in the last days.

SINS OF OUR TIME

2. Sins Of Our Time
Sensuality - they were so sinful that God gave them up.
Romans 1:23–24 KJV 1900
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Romans
Selfishness - Professing to be wise they became fools. More interested in making self great than making God’s work great.
Romans 1:21 KJV 1900
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Slothfulness - What we do, we should do with all our heart! To many do just enough to get by.
Proverbs 19:15 KJV 1900
Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; And an idle soul shall suffer hunger.
Proverbs 19:15 KJV 1900
Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; And an idle soul shall suffer hunger.
Stubbornness - They knew God but did not praise Him.
Proverbs
Romans 1:21 KJV 1900
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

SORROWS OF OUR TIME

2 Timothy 3:1–5 KJV 1900
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2 tIMOTHY 3:1-
Lack of restraint - Disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy. So many feel, “Do as you please”.
Lack of respect - Lovers of pleasures more than God.
Lack of righteousness - Having a form, but no power.

TIME TO BE ALERT

To the danger of our time
Matthew 24:37–42 KJV 1900
But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
Evangelistic Sermon Outlines 29. What Time Is It? (Mark 13:35–36)

In Noah’s time, they were eating and drinking and giving in marriage (divorcing and immoral living). There are over 400,000 divorces yearly in America. Many no longer consider marriage sacred. Immorality is excused by the movies, TV and magazines.

Evangelistic Sermon Outlines 29. What Time Is It? (Mark 13:35–36)

“But when you follow your own wrong inclinations your lives will produce these evil results: impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure; Idolatry, spiritism (that is, encouraging the activity of demons); hatred and fighting; jealousy and anger; constant effort to get the best for yourself; complaints and criticisms; the feeling that everyone else is wrong except those in your little group; and there will be wrong doctrine”
